Abstract

Awareness of maintaining Al-Qur’an memorization is the key to success in the comprehensive Al-Qur’an memorization exam for students at PTIQ University Jakarta. Awareness of maintaining Quran memorization is closely related to internal motivation, which will direct all activities to achieve goals, through persistent efforts to repeat what has been memorized. This study used qualitative methods. This study concluded that internal motivation is the most important factor in fostering awareness of maintaining Al-Qur’an memorization. Internal motivation will encourage and direct students to make maximum efforts in maintaining Al-Qur’an memorization. Cultivating awareness of maintaining Al-Qur’an memorization can also be done by understanding, reflecting on, and analyzing hadiths that contain the virtues of memorizing the Al-Qur’an and the obligation to maintain Al-Qur’an memorization.

Abstract

Proses pembelajaran setidaknya melibatkan dua pihak sebagai pemeran utama, yakni guru dan murid. Suasana pembelajaran akan sangat berpengaruh terhadap keberhasilan proses belajar yang dijalani siswa. Pembelajaran harus berdasar pada sebuah konsep yang bisa menciptakan suasana belajar yang menyenangkan. Salah satu konsep yang bisa dijadikan rujukan adalah Edutainment, sebuah konsep pembelajaran yang berusaha menghadirkan suasana belajar yang menyenangkan, menggembirakan dan menggairahkan. Al-Qur’an dalam beberapa term-nya mempertegas pentingnya konsep edutainment dengan menciptakan suasana belajar yang menyenangkan. Dari beberapa term yang ditemukan, Al-Qur’an mengisyaratkan pentingnya menciptakan suasana pembelajaran yang penuh dengan buadaya senyum, interaksi yang penuh canda tawa, yang pada akhirnya akan menumbuhkan kebahagiaan baik secara lahiriah ataupun batiniah. Secara metodis, Al-Qur’an mengarahkan kepada salah satu metode pendidikan yakni pendidikan melalui bermain.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of integrating Al-Qur'an values in the school curriculum on the formation of anti-radicalism character among students in Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia. Using a quantitative research approach with a survey methodology, data were collected from 320 students across five Islamic junior and senior high schools in Jakarta and its surrounding areas. Instruments included a validated questionnaire measuring the level of Al-Qur'an values integration (as the independent variable) and the anti-radicalism character formation scale (as the dependent variable). Data analysis employed Pearson correlation, simple linear regression, and multiple regression techniques. The results demonstrate a significant positive influence of Al-Qur'an values integration on anti-radicalism character formation, with a regression coefficient (β = 0.612, p < 0.01) and an R² value of 0.487, indicating that 48.7% of the variance in anti-radicalism character is explained by Al-Qur'an curriculum integration. The findings affirm that dimensions such as tawassuth (moderation), tasamuh (tolerance), tawazun (balance), and i'tidal (fairness) embedded in the curriculum significantly contribute to shaping students' resistance to radical ideologies. This research contributes to the theoretical and practical discourse on curriculum-based character education in countering radicalism within Islamic educational institutions.
