Abstract

In South Asia, Hinduism in Indonesia is the predominant religion, particularly in India and Nepal, home to various traditions. Western academics consider Hinduism a synthesis or fusion of several Indian traditions and cultures with many different roots and no central founder. Brahmanism, an old Vedic religion, is one of its foundations. Through trade, the religions of the River Valley civilization conveyed this message to Indonesia. What is its development history, and how are Hindu teachings received in Indonesia? The technique is literature study, which uses sources from books and journals. The goal is to learn more about Hinduism’s history and philosophical teachings in Indonesia. Hinduism was made famous in the 19th century as a single-world religious tradition.

Abstract

Sighat taklik talak is one of the essential aspects of marriage that aims to provide protection for both husband and wife in anticipating potential violations of rights within the household. This study aims to explore the role of the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) of Medan Petisah, Medan City, in implementing sighat taklik talak as an instrument for household protection. This research employed a qualitative approach with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and document studies. The findings indicate that KUA Medan Petisah plays a strategic role in educating and guiding prospective spouses on the importance of sighat taklik talak. This role is carried out through two main efforts: first, direct socialization with prospective couples regarding the meaning and urgency of sighat taklik talak as a form of legal and moral protection in marriage; and second, the organization of premarital courses that equip couples with in-depth understanding of the rights and responsibilities of husbands and wives, including the position of taklik talak in Islamic law and its role in preventing marital disharmony. Thus, this paper asserts that the existence and active role of KUA in implementing sighat taklik talak contributes significantly to strengthening family resilience in Medan City

This research method is descriptive research with survey approach. The results showed that the level of community participation at the planning stage had a score of 43.62% (medium), the level of community participation at the implementation stage has a score of 50.16% (medium), and the level of community participation at the evaluation/monitoring stage has a score of 46.46% (medium). While the level of community participation as a whole from the planning, implementation, and evaluation/monitoring stages has a score of 47.25% (medium). The main thing that causes the level of community participation to be in the moderate category is due to the uneven distribution of information, as well as the lack of public awareness in preventing dengue and waste management.
