Abstract

Background: A nosocomial infection is an infection acquired or acquired in a hospital related to the provision of health services in health care facilities, where caregiver behavior includes hand washing, the use of protective equipment, the handling of medical equipment, the disinfection of the action site, the prevention of care and treatment, wound closure, and waste management. Objective: To assess officers' compliance with hand hygiene and use of personal protective equipment on the incidence of nosocomial infections in outpatients at Karanganyar District Hospital in support of hospital accreditation. Methodology: This study uses a type of quantitative research. The sample technique used total sampling with a population of all outpatient employees at Karanganyar District Hospital. Result: Compliance with hand hygiene and adherence to the use of personal protective equipment by officers affected the incidence of nosocomial infections where the F count exceeded the F table (47.313 > 3.10). Meanwhile, partially, handwashing compliance and compliance with the use of personal protective equipment for officers had an effect on the incidence of nosocomial infections. Abstract

Latar Belakang: Disfagia didefinisikan sebagai gangguan pergerakan bolus dari mulut ke lambung akibat kelainan pada struktur penting untuk menelan atau fungsinya. Disfagia dibedakan menjadi disfagia orofaringeal dan faringeal. Prevalensi disfagia pada populasi umum sekitar 15-22%. Sebagian besar diderita usia lebih dari 50 tahun. Tujuan: Menambah referensi mengenai kasus disfagia dalam berbagai kasus beserta tatalaksananya. Laporan Kasus: Kami laporkan empat kasus disfagia, kasus pertama disfagia pada kasus tetanus, kasus ke dua disfagia pada kanker esofagus, kasus ketiga disfagia pada infeksi. Tuberkulosis dan kasus keempat kasus disfagia karena abses retrofaring Metode: Penelusuran artikel jurnal dan literatur melalui search engine Google scholar, ORLI, PUBMED, dan NCBI. Kesimpulan: Kasus disfagia membutuhkan penegakan diagnosis yang mendalam agar disfagia dapat tertangani dengan tepat sesuai etiologinya.

Abstract

Tuba eustachius merupakan saluran yang menghubungkan telinga tengah dengan nasofaring yang memiliki fungsi ventilasi, drainase, dan perlindungan pada telinga tengah. Disfungsi tuba ini dapat menyebabkan kegagalan fungsi tersebut dan memicu penyakit yang lebih berat. Analisis rekam medis menunjukkan kecenderungan ETD lebih umum pada wanita. Sebagai ilustrasi, kami melaporkan kasus disfungsi tuba eustachius (ETD) yang terjadi berulang pada seorang wanita yang tidak merespon dengan baik pengobatan yang diberikan. Kemudian tinjauan literatur kami lakukan untuk menganalisis fenomena prevalensi ETD yang lebih tinggi pada wanita dan mencari faktor-faktor serta mekanisme yang mendasarinya. Penelusuran literatur dilakukan melalui database dan search engine Google Scholar serta PubMed menggunakan kata kunci "tuba eustachius, disfungsi tuba eustachius, prevalensi, insidensi, faktor risiko, dan wanita." Kami menemukan bahwa perbedaan anatomi antara jenis kelamin tidak signifikan sebagai faktor risiko ETD. Namun faktor hormonal khususnya hormon estrogen mungkin memainkan peran penting dalam kejadian ETD pada wanita, terutama selama kehamilan. Hormon estrogen cenderung menyebabkan edema dan retensi cairan yang memengaruhi mukosa tuba eustachius.
