Abstract

Hasil yang didapatkan yaitu tumbuhan air Purun Tikus (Eleocharis dulcis) memiliki efektivitas penyerapan tertinggi sebesar 73,07% dan tumbuhan air Kayu Apu (Pistia stratiotes) memiliki efektivitas penyerapan tertinggi sebesar 66,67% The “Danau Bangkau” swamp is one of the large peat swamp ecosystems and contains a variety of potential resources, such as flora, fauna, aquatic organisms and microorganisms such as plankton, algae and periphyton. Periphyton is a collection of microorganisms or micro-organisms in the form of animals and plants that live attached to a substrate submerged in the air. Periphyton had an important role in the life of air biota. Based on the calculations, the periphyton community structure in the “Danau Bangkau” swamp was about 6,715 – 11,640. Phylum Cyanobacteria (9 species) and Chlorophyta (10 species) were the most common phylum that was found. The presence of several periphyton groups can be a bioindicator. The results of the calculation of the periphyton diversity index showed that the swamp waters of "Danau Bangkau" are included in the category of moderate community stability. Optimal water quality can support periphyton life. Meanwhile, the DO content in the swamp waters of “Danau Bangkau” is relatively low. Therefore, the diversity index value was correlated with quality (temperature, pH, DO and brightness) to determine the relationship of each of these key parameters to periphyton diversity in the “Danau Bangkau” swamp.
