Abstract

Periphyton group are biota communities that be able adapt and grow well in lentic waters. Their habits are adhere to a permanent location. Aquatic vegetation in Bangkau can influenced the periphyton abundance and diversity as natural food in the food chain. The purpose of this study was to analyzed abundance and diversity of Periphyton from different aquatic vegetation. The research was conducted in three stations by purposive sampling. The method used was quantitative explored. The data that has been taken were epiphythic periphyton samples. Periphyton sampling procedures, preservation, and analysis were carried out based on Indonesian National Standard methods. Bangkau’s peatland had the highest abundance of phytoplankton-periphyton (9982 sel/liter) in inlet, but low at middle station (778 sel/liter). Zooplankton-periphyton (553 sel/liter) in middle station was the highest abundance whereas in outlet station (153 sel/liter) was the lowest. Bacillariophyceae had predominant and always attendanced Oscillatoria, Closterium, Planktonella, Diatom, meanwhile zooplankton-periphyton dominated Ciliophora in all stations and sampling. Diversity index of phytoplankton-periphyton in inlet station (1,55) was the highest and in inlet (0,77) was the lowest. Zooplankton-periphyton in middle (1,76) and outlet (0,94) was different based on Shannon wiener’s Index. The abundance index of Bangkau were mesotrophic categorized for phytoplankton-periphyton and oligotrophic for zooplankton-periphyton. Due to the low level of species diversity (H’≤ 3) showed moderate stability and for the water quality conditions was moderate polluted.

Abstract

This research was aimed analyze the ability of perupuk (Phragmites karka Trin) in reducing of rubber industrial liquid waste polluters on the scale of the laboratory. The method used was the method of survey. The data laboratory test were tabulated and analyzed descriptively and the level of efficiency was calculated. Referring to South Kalimantan Governor Regulation Number 36/2008, the results showed that, TSS parameters started to be effectively reduced on day 10 with close to 84,33 mg/l (32.53%), BOD5 started to be effectively reduced on day 20 with close to 24.00 mg/l (99,29%), and COD started to be effectively reduced on day 20 with close to 44,65 mg/l (98,90%). Referring to the decision of the Minister of Environment No. KEP-78/MENLH/10/1995, the parameters of the Sulfide started to be effectively reduced on day 10 with close to 0.001 mg/l (93,75%) and Manganese start to be effectively reduced on day 20 with close to 0,70 mg/l (-134,00 %). Ph levels and temperature still normal condition.  Time retention was best accomplished on day 30 in reducing liquid waste rubber industry.

Abstract

The Danau Panggang swamp is one of the potential swamp waters as a producer of swamp fish in South Kalimantan. The objective of the research is to identify the potential of fish resources, macrophytes, and plankton in Danau Panggang swamp. The results showed that fish caught in Swamp Danau Panggang waters are 22 species. The macrophytic water plants found in the Danau Panggang Swamp Waters are 11 species. The results of phytoplankton and zooplankton analyzes are found for phytoplankton dominated by Chrysophyta phyla, while zooplankton is dominated by the Protozoa order. The condition of the Danau Panggang swamp water quality is still relatively in accordance with the Baku Mutu Air Kelas 2 PP No 82 Tahun 2001

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kegiatan budidaya nila salin dengan memanfaatkan bekas tambak udang yang tidak diusahakan pemilik dengan target kegiatan (a) meningkatnya survival rate (SR) nila salin sebanyak 60%; (b) meningkatkan ukuran panen 0,2 kilogram/ekor dengan jumlah 3500 kg/4 bulan; (c) mengadopsi inovasi teknologi budidaya nila salin untuk pembesaran dalam lahan tambak Non Produktif; (d) meningkatkan kualitas air dan pakan alami tambak dengan bioremediasi; (e) mempercepat pertumbuhan nila salin dan optimalisasi pakan dalam dan (f) meningkatan kapasitas manajemen usaha produk olahan. Metode yang digunakan adalah FGD (Focus group of Discussion) untuk meminta masukan, permasalahan dan sosialisasi program-program IbM budidaya nila salin kepada mitra usaha pemilik tambak Non Produktif. Identifikasi potensi dan permasalahan, Penyuluhan dan Pelatihan Keterampilan diberikan sebagai paket alih teknologi pada setiap program agar khalayak sasaran atau mitra dapat menguasai secara teori maupun teknis adopsi teknologi yang diberikan. Tahapan kegiatan telah dilaksanakan berupa introduksi nila salin, teknik jaring apung, metode perbaikan kualitas air dan sistem kelola air tambak, teknik pemilihan/sortasi ikan, metode introduksi pembuatan pakan dengan probiotik, pembuatan pakan alami dan penjadwalan, pelatihan strategi pemasaran agar menguntungkan, pengenalan produk olahan yang telah diselesaikan selama 8 bulan. Lokasi berada di Kelompok Usaha Bersama RT 9 dan RT 10 Desa Wisata Pantai Takisung Kalimantan Selatan. Hasil evaluasi kegiatan dengan teknik skoring 80% meningkatnya keterampilan kelompok mitra dalam pembuatan unit budidaya nila di bekas tambak, survival rate 58 %, ukuran panen selama 4 bulan 52% dengan ukuran 0,2 kg/ekor, 70% perbaikan tingkat pengetahuan kelompok tentang jadwal pemberian pakan dan optimalisasi pakan serta 60% kapasitas manajemen usaha dan produk budidaya.

Abstract

Abstract

This research aims to know the percentage of living coral cover in the village of Sepagar. The benefits of this research are as input for the parties involved in the efforts of the management and conservation of coral reefs in the waters of the villageSepagar. The results of the observation and calculation of the coral reefs is done using the method of Point Intercept Trancek (PIT) shows that the community of coral reefsin the waters of the Sepagar included in the types of coral reefs of the sandbar (patchreef). Generally burnt coral reefs grow and develop in the relatively shallow waters with depths ranging from 1-5 meters. The results showed on the three stations found 7of the 10 components of the reef that is. Acropora (AC), Non-Acropora (NA), DeadCoral with Algae (DCA), Dead Coral (DC), Soft Coral Sand (SC) (S), and the Rubble(R). Component not found is Fleshy Seawed (FS), Rock (RK) and Silt (SL). At station1, the total percentage of living coral closure (living cover) by 51.4%, In station 2 of55,3 % , and in station 3 of 51.3 % .The percentage the coral lived in waters sepagar in good not far different the percentage the coral live in every station.

Abstract

This study aims to monitor the carrying capacity of the Riam Kanan. Reservoir in the activity of Floating Net Keramba (KJA) based on the content of phosphate (P) and water quality status in Riam Kanan reservoir. The data generated from the measurements are presented in tabulations and diagrams. Data analysis using method of Beveridge(1996) and STORET method according KepMen LH number 115 year 2003 and quality standard according to PP 82 year 2001.The result of research based on water quality status criteria in Riam Kanan reservoir with calculation of water quality status criteria using STORET method at station1, 2 and 3 of total score range from -2 to -8, including class B water quality status that is good criteria of light contamination. Types of fish cultivated in at stations 1 and 2 are tilapia. The results of carrying capacity research using the Beveridge (1996) method in reservoir Riam Kanan for station 1 can be increased the number of units of KJA as much as 54 units and 2 stations 2 as many as 18 units of KJA.

Abstract

Kegiatan penambangan intan di Desa Pumpung Kecamatan Cempaka Kota Banjarbaru Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan merupakan kegiatan penambangan tradisional yang telah sejak lama dilakukan dan memberikan dampak negatif terjadinya perubahan pH perairan sekitar. Penggunaan kapur gamping merupakan upaya alternatif yang efektif dan efisien untuk memperbaiki kondisi perairan. Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) mengkaji faktor penyebab menurunnya kualitas pH pada air bekas galian penambangan intan di Cempaka, (2) mengkaji proses kapur gamping memulihkan pH air bekas galian penambangan intan di Cempaka, (3) dosis kapur gamping yang tepat diberikan agar peningkatan nilai pH air asam bekas pertambangan intan berada pada kisaran baku mutu. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode survei untuk memperoleh informasi faktual dan metode eksperimen dalam mencari pengaruh perlakuan tertentu terhadap pH air dalam kondisi yang terkendalikan.

Abstract

Penelitian daya tampung beban pencemar dilakukan pada daerah hulu-tengah dan hilir Sub-DAS Martapura selama periode pengamatan Oktober 2020 – Desember 2021. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan daya tampung beban pencemar Daya Tampung Beban Pencemar pada periode pengamatan Oktober 2020 diketahui bahwa pada parameter pH mempunyai nilai di atas baku mutu -0,8, pada daerah hulu lebih rendah dari baku mutu. Daya Tampung Beban Pencemar pada periode pengamatan April 2021 diketahui bahwa pada parameter PO4 sebesar -0,8, di bagian tengah dan -4,1 di bagian hilir berada di atas baku mutu. Daya Tampung Beban Pencemar pada periode pengamatan Bulan Desember 2021 diketahui bahwa pada parameter pH sebesar -0,6, DO sebesar -6,1 di daerah hulu berada di atas baku mutu, parameter PO4 sebesar -0,05, di bagian tengah berada di atas baku mutu dan parameter PO4 sebesar -0,03 di bagian hilir berada di atas baku mutu. Status mutu perairan dengan menggunakan metode STORET termasuk dalam kategori cemar sedang dengan total skor -20. Penurunan kualitas perairan di sepanjang Sub DAS Martapura disebabkan masukan bahan pencemar dari kegiatan antropogenik (akivitas masyarakat) di sepanjang bantaran sungai berupa Mandi, Cuci dan Kakus, dan kegiatan Keramba Jaring Apung (KJA) di bagian Hulu. The research on the carrying capacity of the pollutant load was carried out in the upstream-middle and downstream areas of the Martapura Sub-watershed during the observation period from October 2020 to December 2021. The results showed that the carrying capacity of the pollutant load was carried out in the observation period of October 2020, it is known that the pH parameter has a value above the quality standard of -0.8, in the upstream area it is lower than the quality standard. Pollutant Load Carrying Capacity in the observation period of April 2021, it is known that the PO4 parameter is -0.8, in the middle, and -4.1 in the downstream, which is above the quality standard. Pollutant Load Capacity in the observation period in December 2021, it is known that the pH parameter is -0.6, DO is -6.1 in the upstream area which is above the quality standard, the PO4 parameter is -0.05, in the middle it is above the quality standard and the PO4 parameter of -0.03 in the downstream are above the quality standard. The status of water quality using the STORET method is in the moderately polluted category with a total score of -20. The decline in water quality along the Martapura Sub-watershed is caused by the input of pollutants from anthropogenic activities (community activities) along the riverbanks in the form of bathing, washing, toileting, and floating net cages (KJA) activities in upstream.

Abstract

Urban farming merupakan kegiatan berbasis pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan rumah di lingkungan perkotaan di masa pandemi Covid-19. Keterbatasan ruang bahkan cenderung sempit sebagai media akuaponik sayuran dan ikan untuk pemenuhan protein rumah tangga dan menghasilkan pendapatan. Tujuan dilaksanakannya kegiatan ini untuk meningkatkan penggunaan teknologi polikultur dengan sistem resirkulasi secara bertahap di masyarakat perkotaan, survival rate (SR) produk akuaponik ≥ 50%, panen sayuran dan ikan setiap dua minggu dan efisiensi penggunaan air serta optimalisasi pakan. Metode FGD (Focus group of Discussion) terbatas mengacu pada protokol kesehatan dan demonstrasi plot. Kegiatan ini telah dilaksanakan di bulan Agustus sampai Desember 2021 bertempat di  Komplek Bukit Permata Asri, Mitra Karang Taruna Kelompok "Sawi", Kelurahan Sungai Ulin, Kota Banjarbaru. Survival rate (SR) untuk sayuran 80% dan ikan 75% dengan sistem akuaponik. Hasil evaluasi dengan teknik skoring menyatakan bahwa 80% pengetahuan kelompok mitra meningkat tentang budidaya ikan sayuran, 85% meningkatnya keterampilan mitra dalam pembuatan unit akuaponik, 70% perbaikan optimalisasi pakan. Aktivitas ini dapat diperluas ke tanaman lain dan spesies ikan komersial yang mudah beradaptasi dengan lingkungan buatan.  Urban farming is based on using home yard land in urban environments during the Covid-19 pandemic. Space limitations tend to be narrow as vegetable and fish aquaponic media to meet household protein needs and income. The purpose of these activities was to increase the use of polyculture technology with a recirculation system gradually in urban communities, the survival rate (SR) for aquaponic products to more than 50%, both vegetables and fish were harvested every two weeks, and efficiency of water used and optimization of feed. The FGD (Focus group of Discussion) method was limited to referring to health protocols and plot demonstrations. This activity was carried out from August to December 2021 at the Bukit Permata Asri, Mitra Karang Taruna Group "Sawi", Sungai Ulin Village, Banjarbaru City. The survival rate for 80% vegetables and 75% fish with an aquaponics system. The evaluation results using a scoring technique stated that 80% of partner group knowledge increased about vegetable fish farming, 85% increased partner group skills in making aquaponics units, and 70% improved feed optimization. This activity can extend to other plant and commercial fish species that are adaptable to the artificial environment.
