Abstract

This study aims to find out more about the behavior of academic procrastination in the association of PGSD students. The subjects of this study were 7 semester 4 PGSD students at Muria Kudus University who had experienced academic procrastination and had a social environment that encouraged them to do so. The research method uses qualitative methods with a case study approach. Data collection is done through observation, in-depth interviews, documentation, and recording. Data validity test includes internal validity, external validity, reliability, and objectivity. Data analysis techniques include the stages of collecting, reducing, presenting, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that there are interrelated internal and external factors that cause academic procrastination behavior. Internal factors in the form of physical and psychological conditions. External factors include lack of support and cooperation, busy working and organizing, and social influences. Social influence is the most dominant external factor causing academic procrastination. The influence of association triggers the emergence of academic procrastination behavior due to self-alignment efforts to be accepted in a group characterized by cohesiveness, agreement, and obedience.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kemampuan berhitung terhadap nilai matematika siswa kelas VI SD. Metode penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis data regresi linear sederhana. Sebelum dianalisis, data diuji normalitas dan linearitasnya terlebih dahulu. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VI SD N Karanganyar 2, Kecamatan Gajah, kabupaten Demak, yang terdiri dari 21 siswa. Pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen tes yang terdiri dari 3 butir soal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berhitung memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap nilai matematika siswa kelas VI SD N Karanganyar 2 dengan besarnya pengaruh 87,9%, sedangkan sisanya yakni 12,1% dipengaruhi oleh variabel-variabel lain.

Abstract

The tendency to teach geometry mechanically highlights the need for mathematics instruction grounded in students’ daily contexts. This study designs a Learning Trajectory (LT) for cube nets using the engklek game—a traditional Indonesian hopping game—as a realistic context, framed within Realistic Mathematics Education (RME), and implemented through educational design research (validation study type). Conducted at one school in Kudus, the study involved 21 Grade 5 students across three phases: preparing for the experiment, designing the experiment (pilot and teaching experiment), and retrospective analysis. The resulting LT comprises four sequenced activities aligned with RME’s modeling levels—situational, model-of, model-for, and formal—through which students progressed from informal understandings (e.g., engklek kapal terbang as a cube net) to formal knowledge: recognizing eleven distinct cube nets organized into four pattern categories (1-4-1, 2-3-1, 2-2-2, and 3-3). This LT contributes to the expansion of instructional design in mathematics and provides teachers with a culturally responsive, game-based pedagogical tool that bridges students’ informal experiences with formal geometric concepts.
