Abstract

Background: Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease which can be characterized by the presence of blood glucose levels that exceed normal values. Diabetic gangrene is tissue necrosis in the peripheral parts of the body due to diabetes mellitus. Washing red betel leaves with 0.9% NaCl is more effective because red betel leaves contain alkaloid and flavonoid active substances. Purpose: to determine the effect of treating wounds with red betel leaf decoction on gangrenous wound healing in patients with diabetes mellitus. Method: This case study uses a descriptive method. Results: Treatment using red betel leaf decoction for 8 days obtained the result that the size of the wound was at score 1. Depth was still at stage 2, edges of the wound were at score 2, there were no caves, no exudate type, skin color around the wound changed to score 1 , The tissue that is edematous is still the same as before, which is in score 1. The tissue that is granulated occurs with 100% granulation light. Epithelialization has changed, which is on a score of 2. Conclusion: The results of the case study show that giving red betel leaf decoction accelerates the wound healing process in patients and is expected to avoid triggering factors for the occurrence of complications of gangrenous wounds in diabetes mellitus.

Abstract

Background : diabetes is a metabolic disorder characterized by hyperglrcrmia or high blood sugar levels due to the body’s inability to produce insulin or decreased sensitivity to insulin. Indonesa has the second highest diabetes mortality rate in the world. Two-thirds of diabetics in Indonesia are not aware of their condition, they may delay seeking treatment until it is too late to perform wound care. Modern wounds are better able to accelerate wound healing in patients with diabetes melitus. Purpose : describe the provision of wound care in diabetic patients melitus using the modern dressing. Method : data collection method using descriptive analysis with case study approach. Results : after being given the implementation of using modern dressing, the results areeffective for wound care in pateients with diabetes melitus wounds. This is evidenced by the change in wound size, 3cm x 3 cm belonging to a score of 2 p x l 4<16 to 3cm x 2cm. Coclusion : based on the results of a case study, modern nalut dressing is effective in accelerating the healing process of diabetes melitus wound.

Abstract

Background: Cases of hypertension in Central Java increased by 25.8% from the previous year. Hypertension or commonly known with high blood pressure occurs due to increased pressure blood in arteries continuously exceeding limits normal blood pressure. Hypertension can be caused by increasing age but a factor that is no less important is lifestyle. As a reference, treating hypertension can be done in alternative ways, namely with traditional or herbal medicines, one of which is honey. Purpose: to describe the benefits of giving pure honey in lowering blood pressure in the elderly who have hypertension. Method: this uses the case study method with respondents who have systolic blood pressure of 140-159 mmHg and/or diastolic blood pressure of 90-99 mmHg in grade 1 hypertension. Using instruments, namely, interview sheets and observation sheets. Results: The results of the case study showed that honey can reduce blood pressure in hypertension patients. Conclusion: There is a decrease in blood pressure in the elderly by giving honey in the morning and evening with a dose of 20 ml for 7 days with a pre value of 158/95 mmHg and a post value of 138/90 mmHg.

Abstract

Background : The prevalence of depression in residents Indonesia is ≥ 15 years old (9%) and the prevalence of mental and emotional disorders in the form of stress, anxiety and depression covers 9.8%, Violent behavior is a response to stressors experienced by someone, which can be reflected in actual acts of violence against oneself or others, verbally or non-verbally, which aim to hurt people physically and psychologically. Therapeutic communication is conscious communication, directed and the core of its activities is for the patient's recovery and is a professional communication that leads to the goal of healing the patient (Mundakir, 2006). Objective: Knowing the illustrated description of Nursing Care for Patients with the Risk of Violent Behavior using Communication Techniques. Method: method used by researchers is descriptive research in the form of a literature review. Results: results of a literature review of 2 journals related to psychiatric nursing care with a risk of violent behavior. Conclusion: Based on the results of the observations that the researchers made of the studies carried out by the two researchers, the similarities were found, namely carrying out a thorough assessment both based on the patient's main complaint being taken to the hospital due to a tantrum when angry, predisposing factors, namely the patient has a history of repeated treatments and the precipitation factor is the patient not routinely taking medication.

Abstract

Background: Gout is a disease where purine buildup occurs which can cause join inflammation tp the point of swelling, so that someone who has gout will definitely feel unbearable pain. Gout usually appears in the big toe, ankle, knee, and elbow areas. One of the non-pharmacological treatments to reduce pain is to use ginger warm compresses. Purpose: this study was to describe the effect of giving warm ginger compresses to reduce pain levels in elderly people with gout. Research method: case study. Result: research shows that giving ginger warm compresses can reduce the level of pain felt by Mrs. S with an initial pain scale of 7 then dropped to a pain scale of 4. Conclusion: research has the effect of warm ginger compresses to reduce the pain level of gout sufferers in Mrs. S with an initial scale of 7 to a scale of 4.

Abstract

Backround: mental health is a stase of emotional, psychological and social health that can be seen in satisfying interpersonal relationships, effective behavior and copinh, posifive self concept and emotional stability. Social isolation is a lonely state experienced by someone because other people express a negative and threatening attitude. Socialization group activity therapy is a therapy that is carried out in grops to improve the patients ability to carry out social interaction and play a role in the social environment. Objective:this case studies to determine nursing care for social isolation patients with a focus socialization group activity therapy session 1: introducing yourself. Methods: data collection methods used descriptive analysis and case studies. Results:after carrying out nursing actions for 3 days and giving socialization group activity therapy session 1, Mr. T was able to defend himself.  Conclusions: giving socialization group activity therapy session 1: introducing yourself is very effective for patients with sosial isolation.          Â
