Abstract

Posyandu is a public health service. Posyandu activities involve various parties such as health workers, the community and community leaders. Kader are people who are given various training by health workers to be able to help provide health information to the community. The activeness of kader can influence the motivation of mothers to come to the posyandu to monitor the health and nutrition of mothers and children. The research was carried out in the Kuto Batu Village, Palembang in August 2022. The research subjects were kader at 12 posyandu in the Kuto Batu Village. The results showed that most of the kader had provided nutrition education at posyandu activities, although this was not always the case. However, there are still kader who are not active in providing nutrition education to the community. Therefore it is necessary to make efforts to increase the role of kader, especially in terms of providing nutrition education to the community through training, seminars and workshops.

Abstract

Pregnancy are a special condition that requires more nutritional needs compared to other conditions in the life cycle. Therefore pregnancy get a number of additional macro and micro nutrients during pregnancy. Mother's nutritional needs that are not met will cause various nutritional problems including anemia. Anemia in pregnancy can cause health and nutritional problems not only for the mother but also for the fetus. The research was conducted in Kuto Batu Palembang Village in August 2022. The subjects of the study were 26 pregnant in trimesters 1, 2 and 3. The results showed that most of the mothers, namely 85%, had insufficient knowledge of anemia. Lack of knowledge can influence mother's behavior related to anemia prevention. Mothers who have less knowledge regarding anemia will have difficulty choosing and consuming foods high in iron.

Abstract

Background: Adolescents with poor nutritional status will have an impact on low intelligence, productivity and body immunity, while higher nutritional status can cause an increased risk of non-communicable diseases. Research Method: This research is an analytical research with a cross sectional research design. The research uses primary data, namely data collected by the researcher himself in the form of data on general characteristics, balanced nutritional behavior and nutritional status of adolescents. The research also used secondary data from IKesT Muhammadiyah Palembang for the number of undergraduate students in Nutrition at IkesT Muhammadiyah Palembang. Results: Based on the results of statistical tests, it shows that there is a relationship between balanced nutritional behavior and adolescent nutritional status (p value = 0.000). The level of strength of the relationship is strong with a correlation coefficient value of 0.597. The variable relationship is unidirectional, which means that the better the balanced nutritional behavior, the better the nutritional status. Conclusion: The results of the study show that there is a relationship between balanced nutritional behavior and adolescent nutritional status, p-value 0.000 < 0.05. Balanced nutritional behavior can help teenagers maintain normal nutritional status and prevent nutritional problems
