Abstract

This research aims design ETL in data warehouse as a storage of data logging. The source of data warehouse can be diverse both in terms of data storage structure, platform, device and user interface so-called syntactic heterogeneity. Modelling data in this research using a snowflake schema because the data involved is already 3rd Normal Form. This application is powered by software applications built using LabView tools and sensors Schneider 810 power meter will read the input data. The results obtained in this research are ETL can build a data warehouse for the storage of data logging despite syntactic heterogeneity.Keywords: data warehouse, ETL, Modbus TCP, electrical monitoring, Schneider 810 PM

Abstract

Utilization of electrical energy in a building direct impact on carbon emissions. One of them in commercial buildings such as campus, industry and banking. Therefore, it needs building management systems by monitoring electrical quantities. This research aims to build a data acquisition system of electrical quantities in commercial buildings. Real time data acquisition by using the Modbus TCP protocol as a communication media between the RTU and MTU integrated with SCADA. LabView is a software that acts as a software tool to visualize data acquisition. Theresults is the utilization of the electrical energy of the building can be monitored so that its use more efficient.Keywords: commercial building, Modbus TCP, monitoring, LabView, SCADA

Abstract

Pusat Ziarah Keluarga Kudus Nazaret Sa’pak Bayobayo Toraja (PZKKN-SBT) pertama kali diresmikan oleh Uskup Agung Makassar pada tanggal 03 Juli 2018. PZZKKN-SBT menghadirkan wisata rohani yang dengan paket lengkap. Namun demikian, terdapat kendala terkait dengan layanan air yang ada pada PZZKKN-SBT, belum memenuhinya ketersediaan air baik dari segi kuantitas maupun kualitas merupakan salah satu masalah yang harus segera diselesaikan. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya rancangan instalasi penjernihan air dan jaringan distribusi yang memadai untuk melayani kebutuhan air yang ada di PZZKKN-SBT guna mendukung fasilitas yang diberikan kepada wisatawan pada saat mengunjungi PZZKKN-SBT. Pada kegiatan pengabdian ini, dibuat rancangan instalasi penjernihan air dan jaringan distribusi air dengan menggunakan teknik mekanik serta penggunaan energi terbarukan yaitu dengan memanfaatkan teknologi solar cell yang sedang marak digunakan sebagai salah satu cara untuk mendapatkan energi listrik guna memenuhi kebutuhan air yang ada di PZZKKN-SBT.

Abstract

This study designs and builds a PLC application to optimize the dynamic braking process of a three-phase induction motor for safer and more efficient operation. This application monitors the motor braking system and calculates the motor braking time through a computer. The method used is experimental with the aim of designing a PLC application as a motor braking system using the dynamic braking method. The braking system utilizes PLC as the control system. To achieve dynamic braking, the stator coil of the motor receives an injection of direct current (DC) from a directed power source. In this testing, the observed variables are the injected DC current value and the duration of the injection time. The test results demonstrate that the implementation of PLC in the dynamic braking of a three-phase induction motor performs well in calculating the motor braking time and monitoring the braking process. With a DC current injection of 0,5 A in the dynamic braking test, an average stopping time of 2,63 seconds was obtained. With a DC current injection of 0,75 A in the dynamic braking test, an average stopping time of 2,13 seconds was obtained.

Abstract

This study introduces the Smith-Waterman algorithm because the advantage of this algorithm is that it can determine the similarity from any position that corresponds to music plagiarism, considering that song similarities can occur in any part of a song. Plagiarism detection can be done by comparing the melody notes of 2 songs to determine whether or not there are similarities. Songs that are identified as plagiarism have similar melodies of 8 bars. However, the Smith-Waterman algorithm has a weakness, namely that the speed of this algorithm is relatively slow, so parallel computing is required to speed up the detection process. Parallel computing relies on the capabilities of multi-core GPUs that can be programmed using CUDA. Therefore, the innovation raised in this study is to speed up the computing process in detecting music plagiarism by applying parallel computing to the Smith-Waterman algorithm. The methodology stages begin with melody extraction, namely taking the song melody from the MIDI file along with the melody's tempo in the MIDI file and then transposing it to the basic tone of C. The study's results showed that using the GPU can speed up the execution time by up to 5.7 times compared to using the CPU. In addition, validation was carried out with real music plagiarism cases and validation of the results using the MIPPIA website. This shows that parallel computing has been successfully applied to the Smith-Waterman algorithm in detecting music plagiarism.
