Abstract

Perhitungan manual dalam analisis struktur terbilang rumit, menghabiskan waktu yang lama, dan rentan terjadi kesalahan dalam proses perhitungan. Meskipun sudah ada program analisis struktur yang canggih, tetapi belum tentu pengguna dapat mempelajari cara penggunaan program tersebut dengan mudah dan cepat. Oleh karena itu, dalam tulisan ini dirancang program analisis struktur untuk portal bidang. Tujuannya yaitu untuk membuat program yang diharapkan dapat user friendly sehingga dapat membuat pengguna lebih mudah dalam mempelajari dan menggunakan program tersebut. Program yang dirancang dalam tulisan ini menggunakan metode matriks kekakuan langsung. Program dibuat mengunakan aplikasi MATLAB R2017a dengan tampilan APG (Antarmuka Pengguna Grafis). Kemudian program diuji melalui dua contoh kasus, di antaranya struktur portal 3 batang dan struktur portal 2 lantai. Selain itu, program telah dibandingkan dengan SAP2000 v14. Dalam program ENDSTRIS ini, beberapa fitur yang dibuat yaitu perhitungan reaksi perletakan, gaya-gaya batang, deformasi (perpindahan dan rotasi), diagram momen, diagram geser, diagram normal dan garis elastisitas. Hasil analisis yang didapatkan dengan menggunakan ENDSTRIS tidak berbeda dengan hasil yang didapatkan dengan menggunakan perhitungan SAP2000 v14.

Abstract

Pusat Ziarah Keluarga Kudus Nazaret Sa’pak Bayobayo Toraja (PZKKN-SBT) pertama kali diresmikan oleh Uskup Agung Makassar pada tanggal 03 Juli 2018. PZZKKN-SBT menghadirkan wisata rohani yang dengan paket lengkap. Namun demikian, terdapat kendala terkait dengan layanan air yang ada pada PZZKKN-SBT, belum memenuhinya ketersediaan air baik dari segi kuantitas maupun kualitas merupakan salah satu masalah yang harus segera diselesaikan. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya rancangan instalasi penjernihan air dan jaringan distribusi yang memadai untuk melayani kebutuhan air yang ada di PZZKKN-SBT guna mendukung fasilitas yang diberikan kepada wisatawan pada saat mengunjungi PZZKKN-SBT. Pada kegiatan pengabdian ini, dibuat rancangan instalasi penjernihan air dan jaringan distribusi air dengan menggunakan teknik mekanik serta penggunaan energi terbarukan yaitu dengan memanfaatkan teknologi solar cell yang sedang marak digunakan sebagai salah satu cara untuk mendapatkan energi listrik guna memenuhi kebutuhan air yang ada di PZZKKN-SBT.

Abstract

Nowadays, the use of applications which is to analyze or to design in civil engineering are necessary. Besides being able to solve the analysis and design problem, the use of applications is an effective for computational time problems compared to manual calculations. Column is one of the most crucial elements in a building construction where the role of the column is to support and distribute the loads on the building structure. In general, in designing a column, column interaction diagram with a certain cross section is made and compare the capacity of the column sections (Pn and Mn) from the column interaction diagram with the required strength values (Pu and Mu). Android is an operating system on smartphones and is popular nowadays. The aim of this research is to develop an Android-based application using Android Studio with Java programming language to create a column interaction diagram of several types of columns, i.e. square column with 4 (four) side reinforcement, square column with reinforcement on 2 (two) sides, and circular columns. The results obtained from the developed application are compared with manual calculations (reference). The difference of result obtained is less than 1% which means that there is no significant comparison between the designed application and manual calculations (reference). Therefore, the developed application can be practically used as an alternative in designing columns.

Abstract

Traffic congestion is a situation where traffic flow is hampered or stopped due to obstruction of vehicle mobility. The problem of traffic jams seems to have become a special characteristic of Makassar City. Times that are prone to traffic jams are when going to school, going to work, coming home from work, weekends and holidays plus the population growth of vehicles is not proportional to the capacity of roads in Makassar City. This study models 2 alternative engineering plans by changing the geometric conditions of the road at the unsignalized intersection of Jalan Permandian Alam and Jalan H. Daeng Beta Makassar. The software used is PTV Vissim 2023 and Measure Distance to measure the queue length that occurs. The results of the research from the 2 alternative engineering plans and the existing conditions show that the existing condition in the afternoon has the highest queue length, Permandian Alam Road (North) with a length of 526m, Permandian Alam Road (south) with a length of 194m and Jalan H. Daeng Beta with a length of 105m. After conducting experiments on 2 engineering alternative plans, it was concluded that alternative 2 was the most optimal twin bridge design engineering with a queue length at the intersection of Jalan Bathing (North) of 236m, Jalan Bathing Alam (South) of 143m, and Jalan H.Daeng Beta of 65m.

Abstract

This research focuses more on stabilizing the soil with additional materials. This research discusses the stabilization of soft soil originating from South Galesong using cement. The aim of this research is to determine the physical and mechanical characteristics of soft soil in South Galesong, analyze and calculate the physical properties, mechanical properties including the shear strength of the soft soil. The method used in this research is an experimental research method. The research was carried out using a direct shear test to test the shear strength of soil from South Galesong and various soil mixtures with the addition of cement for stabilization. The mixture variations tested were 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% and 25% cement. The results of the research show that the soil from South Galesong has a moderate level of plasticity, has silty clay properties and is cohesive. The shear strength of the soil is 248.58 kPa. The largest increase in shear strength was obtained in a sample mixture of 90% soil + 10% cement with a curing time of 3 days with a shear strength of 322.03 kPa. When compared to the original soil with a shear strength of 248.58 kPa, there was an increase in the soil shear strength of 29.55% of the original soil shear strength.
