Abstract

Along with changes and developments over time, as well as the rise of national plus schools developed using British and Western systems, Ki Hajar Dewantoro's leadership pattern began to be eroded by the current of change. Many leaders today tend to adhere to leadership references originating from Western cultural philosophy, even though they live and lead within the cultural realm of Javanese society in Indonesia. The impact is that the leadership pattern feels disconnected and underdeveloped. This article aims to discuss analyzing the concept of leadership and character of Ki Hadjar Dewantara in its implications in Indonesian schools. The research method used is qualitative, with an interdisciplinary approach. These methods and approaches are used so that the discussion can be carried out more comprehensively and in depth. The results of this research show that the down-to-earth educational leadership pattern initiated by Ki Hadjar Dewantara is very necessary to build educational character values in Indonesia. These concepts and principles are very necessary, because they are connected to the preservation of Indonesian cultural values which are full of diversity.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project [P5] through Javanese local wisdom-based cultural arts education at SD Negeri Ngaliyan 05 Semarang as a pedagogical strategy for strengthening character, cultural identity, and the internalization of Pancasila values in primary education. The study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive case study design conducted at an elementary school implementing the Merdeka Curriculum in Semarang City, which is oriented toward strengthening regional and national cultural values. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies, and were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana. The findings indicate that the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) through arts and cultural education grounded in Javanese local wisdom at SD Negeri Ngaliyan 05 is effective when it is designed contextually, integratively, and reflectively. This effectiveness is reflected in thematic planning based on local culture, participatory project-based learning practices, and authentic assessment that emphasizes both the learning process and students’ character development. The study also identifies several challenges, including limited teacher pedagogical capacity, insufficient cultural arts resources, the tendency toward cultural symbolization, and gaps between national policy design and local implementation realities. As a case study, this research emphasizes that reorienting P5 from an administrative-ceremonial approach toward substantive cultural pedagogy is a crucial prerequisite for transforming character education in elementary schools. This study contributes to strengthening local wisdom-based cultural arts education as a contextual, reflective, and transformative pedagogical strategy for implementing P5 in primary education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the character formation of elementary school students through the implementation of Christian values, with a particular focus on Christian school culture as the primary pedagogical medium. Employing a qualitative approach with a descriptive case study design, the research was conducted at SD Daniel Creative School Semarang. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation involving the principal, teachers, students, and parents, and were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana. The findings reveal that character formation becomes more effective when Christian values such as love, discipline, integrity, responsibility, and service are internalized through the school’s vision, institutional culture, hidden curriculum, learning practices, teacher exemplarity, and family involvement. Christian school culture functions as a transformative space in which Christian values are embodied as students’ lived practices. This study concludes that the effectiveness of character education in Christian elementary schools depends on the consistent, contextual, and holistic integration of Christian values into school culture.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PkM) was implemented to address the needs of the Church of the Nazarene Siloam Weleri in strengthening the congregation’s capacity for contextual evangelism within a majority-religion cultural environment. The training was designed to equip church members with theological foundations, evangelistic strategies, and practical skills through four main topics: soul outreach through the gifts of the Holy Spirit, proclamation of the Good News, Christian maturity in holistic outreach, and a contextual pastoral counseling approach. A qualitative field method was employed through needs-assessment interviews, structured seminars, mentoring sessions, and final evaluation. The results indicate a significant increase in the congregation’s understanding and practice of contextual evangelism. This is reflected in personal testimonies, the establishment of new fellowship groups, and initial discipleship initiatives. Although challenges remain—particularly related to time management and direct evangelism skills—the program has contributed positively to mobilizing church members in fulfilling the Great Commission and supporting church multiplication.

Abstract

Abstract:This study examines the internalization of Christian moral values in social media use among the digital generation through the lens of Christian education. This research is grounded in the tendency of previous studies to emphasize the negative impacts of social media—such as digital narcissism and ethical crises—without sufficiently exploring the pedagogical role of Christian education in shaping digital morality. The study aims to analyze strategies for internalizing Christian moral values—such as love, truth, responsibility, self-control, and wisdom—within social media practices. The method employed is descriptive qualitative research through a critical literature review of theological, pedagogical, and social studies related to digital media. The findings reveal that social media is not merely a space of moral risk but can also function as a medium for faith identity formation when integrated with contextual and transformative Christian education. The internalization of Christian morality requires synergy among character education, digital literacy, spiritual discipline, and faith-based communication ethics. The novelty of this study lies in the development of the concept of Christian digital spirituality as a new pedagogical paradigm within Christian education to cultivate a digital generation that is moral, critical, and responsible in its use of social media. These findings affirm that Christian education plays a strategic role in constructively responding to the challenges of digital culture.

Abstract

Different understandings of the infilling of the Holy Spirit and the baptism of the Holy Spirit remain significant issues in pneumatological discourse, particularly in the dialogue between Pentecostal and Evangelicaled traditions. Previous studies have tended to discuss these two concepts denominationally, descriptively, or separately between the narrative approach of Acts and the doctrinal approach of the Pauline letters. This article aims to reconstruct the theological meaning of the infilling of the Holy Spirit and the baptism of the Holy Spirit through a hermeneutical dialogue between Pentecostal and Evangelicaled traditions. This study employs theological library research using historical-theological, hermeneutical, and comparative-constructive approaches to Acts, the Pauline letters, the Gospel of John, and classical and contemporary pneumatological literature. The findings show that the infilling of the Holy Spirit refers to the continuing work of the Spirit in repentance, spiritual renewal, sanctification, and the believer’s witness. The novelty of this article lies in its integrative theological synthesis, which understands the infilling of the Holy Spirit and the baptism of the Holy Spirit as two related but non-identical pneumatological categories. This article contributes to pneumatological studies and constructive theological dialogue across church traditions.

Abstract

Globalization has intensified cross-cultural interactions, demanding contextual and adaptive mission approaches that transcend conventional methods. This community service (PkM) study examines the role of music as a cross-cultural mission medium in STT Kristus Alfa Omega's community service activities across Daegu, Busan, and Jinju, South Korea. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation analysis. Findings reveal that music significantly enhanced participant engagement, fostered more inclusive cross-cultural interactions, and generated positive emotional and social responses toward the Gospel message. The adaptation of local musical elements combined with bilingual performance strategies strengthened community acceptance and deepened relational trust across cultural boundaries. Furthermore, music functioned not merely as a communicative medium, but as a strategic missiological instrument for building intercultural relationships, increasing community participation, and facilitating the internalization of spiritual values. These findings affirm that a contextual, music-based community service model holds substantial potential for replication across diverse multicultural contexts, contributing meaningfully to the development of contextual missiology in East Asia. Keywords: cross-cultural mission; contextual missiology; music as mission medium; community engagement; intercultural spirituality Abstrak Globalisasi telah mengintensifkan interaksi lintas budaya, menuntut pendekatan misi yang kontekstual dan adaptif melampaui metode konvensional.
