Abstract

The Nurul Ilmi Mosque, which is located on the A.R Fachruddin Muhammadiyah University campus, should be used as a place to educate the public, especially regarding cleanliness, tidiness, comfort, which should have become a culture for Muslims. 5S is a very simple activity that can be done by everyone and is applicable. 5S or 5R is a method of arrangement and maintenance which is a principle popularized by Japan to create an orderly, neat and clean environmental culture so as to create an environment where activities are safe, comfortable, healthy, orderly, disciplined and responsible. Community service activities for the Socialization of the Application of the 5S (5 R) Concept at the Nurul Ilmi Mosque in the Muhammadiyah A.R Fachruddin University Campus Environment were carried out on April 5 2023 which was attended by lecturers and teaching staff and students of Muhammadiyah University A.R. Fachruddin, Implementation of the 5S program socialization is expected to form a personality that is disciplined and responsible for a clean and tidy environment

Abstract

Ergonomic workstation design is important to increase efficiency and productivity at UKM Sinar Mutiara. This study aims to identify ergonomic problems faced by workers at current workstations and design appropriate ergonomic solutions. Methods of observation, interviews, and data analysis were used to understand the needs and challenges faced. The results of the study show that workers experience discomfort and fatigue due to less-than-optimal workstation design. Ergonomic workstation design will involve the use of height-adjustable desks, chairs with back support, and monitors that can be adjusted to their position. In addition, workstation layouts will be improved to minimize repetitive motions that can potentially cause injury. The implementation of this design is expected to improve the comfort and health of employees, as well as improve productivity and quality of work at Sinar Mutiara UKM Keywords: ergonomic workstation, Sinar Mutiara UKM, efficiency, employee health, productivity

Abstract

Neighborhood Association dues are financial income collected every month from residents which are collected from the beginning of the month until usually the 20th of each month. The money from the Neighborhood Association contributions is used for security guard honorariums, donations from sick residents, and other activities. Some of the obstacles faced by fee collection officers are: Difficulty meeting with residents, residents making promises but not keeping payments and neighborhood association fees not being collected on time. To overcome this, we apply a transfer method for the contribution payment process. An account is created from BCA bank in the names of the RT Head and Treasurer. For the transfer process so that there are no additional costs, we socialize the Flip application as a transfer medium. After carrying out socialization, workshops and trial running, good results were obtained, namely the time for collecting contributions was shorter

Abstract

The control and monitoring system for induction motor speed is widely used in industrial environments, specifically in the cable industry. The use of two working induction motors is for driving two extrusion machines that produce cables. Each machine operates according to a specific formula uploaded to the program. The main machine produces molten plastic in larger volumes, while the smaller machine applies coloring to the surface of the cable. However, the limited number of experts in this field often makes the industry experience difficulties when designing, modifying or when problems occur in the production machine control system program, so that foreign experts often have to be called in to handle it. To overcome this challenge, Educational Institutions need to prepare engineering students to be equipped with automation knowledge and practical experience through practical modules that enable them to design and implement HMI and PLC. This research aims to design a learning medium for industrial automation lab practice to enhance students' skills by mastering the concept of controlling two induction motors in the cable industry, where the motor speeds follow a formula similar to a linear equation uploaded to the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) program.
