Abstract

In this modern era, it is important for teachers to use Android as a learning medium. This aims to facilitate the learning process. The purpose of this study was to test the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of Android-assisted learning media to improve junior high school students' thinking skills. This study used the ADDIE model with 30 students of Rengat 1 Public Middle School as research subjects. The instruments used are non-test instruments in the form of validation sheets and practicality sheets. For data collection techniques, namely by taking validation data, practicality data and effectiveness to students. The data analysis technique used is to conduct product validation tests on experts, practicality and effectiveness tests on students. From the research results, it was found that the media was already in very valid results with a percentage of 88.25%, and for practical results a percentage of 80.26% was obtained with a very practical category. The effectiveness results showed that the pretest results of students who achieved KKM were only 20%, and the posttest of students who achieved KKM increased by 80%. This makes the learning media ready to be used by the teacher to students in the classroom.

Abstract

This study is developmental research that aims to develop a numeracy literacy instrument based on computational thinking in mathematics learning, using the Plomp model to ensure the quality and relevance of the instrument. Selection of respondents using Cluster Random Sampling involving 220 grade 8 students at 5 State Junior High Schools in Bantul Yogyakarta, the instrument was tested for content validity using the Aiken method, resulting in an average validity score of 0.81, indicating that the instrument is valid. Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) results showed that all latent variables had loading factor values above 0.5, these items more accurately represent numerical literacy abilities based on the computational thinking being measured.. Construct Reliability (CR) and Average Variance Extracted (AVE) analysis show that all dimensions meet the criteria, although the Problem Decomposition dimension requires more attention to its indicators because its AVE value is only slightly above the minimum limit. This study is limited to a relatively small number of respondents, so it is necessary to expand the sample coverage to increase the generalizability of the results. This research develops an effective instrument to improve mathematics learning and prepare students for final exams such as the Asesmen Standardisasi Pendidikan Daerah (ASPD) with better numeracy literacy skills.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of principal leadership, infrastructure utilization, and administrative services on school effectiveness in public junior high schools in Tual City. Effective school management is essential for improving educational outcomes, particularly in regions where resources and leadership play a critical role in performance. The research involved 133 teachers and 318 students, selected through appropriate sampling techniques. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire covering four key variables: principal leadership, infrastructure use, administrative services, and school effectiveness. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS version 25, employing tests for normality, linearity, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity to ensure statistical validity. Findings revealed that principal leadership, infrastructure use, and administrative services were rated in the high category, with more than 86% of both teacher and student responses reflecting positive perceptions. Regression analysis showed a positive and significant combined effect of these three variables on school effectiveness, with results for teacher responses (F = 5.122, sig. = 0.00) and student responses (F = 32.334, sig. = 0.00) indicating strong statistical significance. These results emphasize the crucial role of leadership quality, efficient use of infrastructure, and strong administrative support in enhancing school effectiveness. The study underscores the need for targeted efforts in strengthening these areas to improve the overall quality of education in Tual City's junior high schools.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze research trends in the field of technology use in the school environment. Using predetermined keywords, researchers selected documents using the PRISMA method and obtained 599 final documents which were analyzed using the R Program Biblioshiny, Publish or Perish 8, and VOSviewer to map trends in research results with bibliometric analysis. From this analysis it can be concluded that research on the use of technology in the school environment began in 1974 until 2024 with peak publications in 2023 and peak citations in 2018. The United States is the most productive country in the field of most productive countries. Nanyang Technological University is the most productive affiliate, recording the highest number of publications. Journal Q1 "Computers and Education" is the most productive journal with the highest h-index. Hyuksoo Kwon from the Republic of Korea is the writer with the highest h-index. The publication with the highest citations. There are 11 keyword clusters, with the keywords "Artificial Intelligence", “Programming”, “Digitization”, “Online Learning”, “Augmented Reality”, and “Cloud Computing” being the next recommended keywords if you want to do research in the field of use technology in the school environment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze research trends in the use of technology in early childhood education using the Scopus Database. Employing the PRISMA method, the author identified 172 final documents, analyzed through the R Program and VOSviewer. The analysis reveals that research in this area commenced in 1971, with a fivefold increase in publications over the past 20 years. The year 2020 marked the peak with an h-index of 7 and 11 publications (6.39%). Illinois State University emerged as the leading institution with 11 articles (6.39%). The United States is the most productive country, contributing 28 articles (16.28%) and 786 citations (26.85%). Susan Edwards from Australian Catholic University is the most prolific author, achieving an h-index of 5, 253 citations (8.64%), and 5 publications (2.90%). The International Journal of Technology and Design Education is the top source, with 292 citations (9.97%) and 11 publications (6.39%). The document by Blackwell et al. (2014) received the highest citations at 210 (9.02%). The study identified 54 keywords across 7 clusters, recommending "Digital Competence," "Self-directed learning," and "Participatory design" for future research in this field.

Abstract

This study aims to map global research trends and the evolution of digital based assessment systems through a bibliometric analysis. Using the PRISMA protocol on the Scopus database, publications from 1977 to 2026 were identified, resulting in 3,725 initial documents, which were filtered based on document type (articles), subject area (computer science), and relevance criteria to obtain a final dataset of 312 studies. Data were analyzed using Bibliometrix (R) and VOSviewer to examine publication trends, collaboration patterns, and keyword evolution. The findings indicate that digital based assessment research has evolved from basic computer based testing toward more adaptive and intelligent systems, with a steady annual growth rate of 2.87%. The results also reveal increasing cross regional collaboration, particularly between European and Asian institutions, along with the dominance of high impact journals such as Computers and Education and Computers in Human Behavior. Furthermore, five main research dimensions were identified: system infrastructure, digital pedagogy, advanced psychometric analytics, virtual learning governance, and user psychological behavior. Recent trends highlight the integration of adaptive testing, machine learning, and deep learning to enhance assessment accuracy and academic integrity; however, challenges related to inclusivity, ethical considerations, and student well being remain significant. Therefore, future research should focus on developing intelligent, ethical, and inclusive assessment systems that balance technological advancement with human centered considerations.

Abstract

GeoGebra functions as a dynamic image media that allows students to interact with shifting points, measuring line segments and areas, providing direct experience for discovery activities and motivating students in learning mathematics, so that there is a lot of research using GeoGebra, especially in elementary education. This research focuses on analyzing publication trends related to the use of GeoGebra in basic education. Using RStudio and Vosviewer, researchers evaluated 70 Scopus documents with specified keywords. The analysis results revealed a significant increase in 2021, where 15 articles (21.43% of the total) were published, reaching the highest peak. 2022 also provided a high contribution with 13 articles (18.57%). Four main research focuses regarding GeoGebra in basic education were identified. Additionally, recent keyword analysis highlights “geogebrum” and “mathematics learning” as trends worth exploring further. This research provides insight into publication dynamics and current research trends in the use of GeoGebra, providing impetus for further exploration in the context of mathematics learning.

Abstract

Scientific literacy is a central goal of science education and is commonly assessed using diverse instruments across educational levels and contexts. However, internal consistency estimates are sample dependent and may vary across studies. This study conducted a reliability generalization meta analysis of Cronbach’s alpha coefficients reported for scientific literacy instruments. A systematic search of the Scopus database identified empirical studies reporting Cronbach’s alpha for scientific literacy instruments. In total, 19 studies providing 20 reliability estimates, comprising 10,163 participants, were included. Reliability generalization and moderator analyses were conducted using mixed effects models in jamovi. The pooled Cronbach’s alpha was 0.814 (95% CI [0.776, 0.853]), suggesting high average internal consistency; however, the extreme heterogeneity (I² = 99.42%) indicates that this estimate represents an overall average rather than a stable or universally generalizable reliability value. Moderator analyses showed that education level, instrument type, study design, item group, and geographical region were not significant moderators of reliability, indicating that these characteristics did not explain the substantial variability across estimates. Publication bias assessment suggested a low risk of bias, although sensitivity analysis showed that the pooled estimate was influenced by the exclusion of low alpha values. For instrument developers, these findings emphasize the need to establish reliability evidence for specific target populations and contexts rather than relying on a pooled reliability coefficient. Future research should investigate additional methodological and contextual factors that may explain the substantial heterogeneity.
