Abstract

This study aims to increase the motivation to learn mathematics in fifth grade students at SDN Srijaya 02 which is still low using the Team Games Tournament (TGT) Cooperative Model. The research method used was Classroom Action Research which was carried out in 2 cycles. The results of the research carried out were an increase in the motivation to learn mathematics for fifth grade students at SDN Srijaya 02 which was indicated by an increase in the increase in the average score in cycle I of 75.4 and increased to 79.7 in cycle II. Thus it can be concluded that the Team Games Tournament (TGT) Cooperative Model can increase students' motivation to learn mathematics at SDN Srijaya 02.

Abstract

The study aims to enhance the results of arithmetic skills through the implementation of Classroom Action Research using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by the abacus. Cycle I was conducted, resulting in an average score of 74.1, while in Cycle II, there was a significant improvement to 84.4. These results reflect the success of the classroom action research implementation in improving students' arithmetic skills. Improvement is also evident in the classical mastery percentage, with a 50% achievement in Cycle I, increasing to 81.3% in Cycle II. This data indicates that more students have reached or exceeded the set arithmetic skill standards after the implementation of improvements in Cycle I. The study provides insights into the effectiveness of classroom action research in the context of arithmetic skills learning, with positive results in both cycles. The conclusions drawn from this research can contribute positively to the development of teaching strategies that can be applied to enhance the arithmetic skills of elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the speaking skills of fifth-grade students at SDS Galajuara Bekasi using the story-telling method. The research was carried out using the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method using the DDAER design (diagnosis, design, action and observation, evaluation, reflection) which was carried out in 2 cycles with 28 students in class V as research subjects. The results showed an increase in students' speaking skills. In the first cycle, completeness was obtained by 78.6%, or as many as 22 students, and 21.4%, or as many as 6 students still not complete. Meanwhile, in the implementation of the second cycle, the students' completeness data was obtained by 89.3%, or as many as 25 students completed and 10.7%, or as many as 3 students were still in the incomplete category. The final result of the average value of students' speaking skills obtained in the second cycle is 80.4.
