Abstract

In the context of reforming the protection of health workers in terrorist areas, this conclusion reinforces the fact that protection of health workers is a necessity that cannot be ignored. Health is a human right, and health workers are an important pillar in providing access to the health services needed by communities, including those living in terrorist areas. The threats to health workers in these conflict situations are real and significant. They are at high risk of being targeted by attacks, kidnappings, or other threats, which could hinder much-needed health services for civilians. Strong protection for health workers must be a top priority. This is not only the responsibility of the government, but also the international community and humanitarian organizations. In implementing this reform, measures such as strengthening security in health facilities, better training for health workers in dealing with risky situations, as well as close cooperation with relevant parties are important steps.

Abstract

This text discusses the importance of Fire Extinguishing Equipment in fire prevention within healthcare facilities. Through a literature review, the author explores the understanding of the significance of using Fire Extinguishers, which are an integral part of healthcare facility safety. Healthcare facilities, such as hospitals and laboratories, are equipped with advanced machinery, cutting-edge technology, and hazardous chemicals. In day-to-day operations, the use of electrical equipment like MRI machines and ventilators increases the electrical load, while the presence of flammable materials like medical oxygen makes it even more complex. Smith, Miller, and Hamilton's research highlights that fires in healthcare facilities not only result in material losses but also pose a real threat to patients with limited mobility or critical conditions. The success of Fire Extinguisher utilization depends on the collaboration of various components, including Fire Extinguisher maintenance, awareness campaigns, Fire Extinguisher usage training, and coordination among staff during fires to ensure the safety of all parties involved. Fire Extinguishers play a vital role as first-response tools when fires occur. However, to prevent fires in healthcare facilities, proper electrical installations, well-organized cables, and personnel safety must be considered. Further research is needed to identify factors that can reduce the fire risk in Healthcare Facilities. To enhance healthcare facility safety, the use of Fire Extinguishers and an understanding of risk factors should be integrated into a holistic prevention strategy.

Abstract

This article reviews the critical process of patient discharge from hospitals and its challenges, with a focus on the length of stay (LOS) as an indicator of therapeutic success and treatment costs. Emphasis is placed on the importance of accurate diagnosis, appropriate discharge planning, and the prevention of readmissions to the hospital. Utilising the Calgary Family System Theory (CSFT) and the concept of Person-Centered Care (PCC), this piece underscores the significance of an individualised approach, patient involvement in decision-making, effective communication, and multidisciplinary collaboration in the discharge process. Thus, effective discharge planning can enhance the quality of patient care and reduce the economic burden associated with patient readmissions.

Abstract

The quality of health services has long been a central topic in discussions regarding health system optimization. As a basis, Hippocrates, known as the "Father of Medicine", provided a fundamental principle: "Primum non nocere" or "first of all, do no harm" (Hippocrates, n.d.). This principle not only reminds medical personnel to heal, but more than that, prioritizes the safety and welfare of patients. Making connections with philosophical thought, Immanuel Kant, one of the leading philosophers, emphasized the importance of treating humans as ends, not as means (Kant, 1785).
