Abstract

Stunting is still a health problem experienced by Indonesia, especially the incidence of stunting in toddlers. Indonesia Developing countries have contributed to the growth in stunting rates among toddlers in the world today. Stunting can be prevented by community empowerment activities, namely village involvement in detecting and preventing stunting. Problems Bunton Village was chosen as the location for the service because Adipala is a sub-district with the highest stunting rate in Cilacap. In addition, the results of the initial screening in Bunton Village, out of 425 toddlers whose nutritional status was measured, 1 toddler was severely malnourished (very short), 29 toddlers were stunted, and 10 toddlers were well nourished. So it can be concluded that there is 7% nutrition. Solution to Problems: Community Empowerment is integrated with the formation of Stunting Awareness Villages, Optimizing Posyandu Strengthening, Counseling on stunting and toddler nutrition, improving environmental sanitation and Processing of local food ingredients as Supplementary Food for toddlers. Outcome: There has been an increase in the knowledge and skills of cadres in identifying stunting, increased knowledge of mothers who have toddlers and high risk pregnant women about stunting, there are 6 water sources positive for Escerisia coli, and cookies and moringa jelly products for PMT stunting) Keywords : Integrated Community Empowerment, Training, Stunting Toddlers, Stunting

Abstract

ABSTRACT Jeruju plant (Acanthus ebracteatus Vahl) is a type of mangrove that has the potential as a natural source of treatment. Jeruju plants contain secondary metabolite compounds including alkaloids, saponins, terpenoids, flavonoids, anthraquinones and tannins. The purpose of this study was to determine the comparison of maceration and reflux extraction methods to levels of flavonoids and antioxidant activity using the FRAP method, a plant of jeruju originating from Tegal Kamulyan, Cilacap Regency. Jeruju leaf extraction method maceration and reflux using ethanol 96% solvent. The flavonoid content of the jeruju extract was determined using a UV-VIS spectrophotometer. Antioxidant activity was measured using the FRAP method. The results of the flavonoid level determination showed that the refluxed extract contained 35,07 mg/g of flavonoids, while the macerated extract contained 27,44 mg/g of flavonoids. The calculation of the antioxidant activity of the jeruju leaf extract obtained through the reflux method was 118.57 mgAAE/g of extract with an IC50 value = 34.76 µg/mL (very strong antioxidant) and a maceration method of 111.75 mgAAE/g extract with a value of IC50 = 33,69 µ/mL (very strong antioxidant). Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas sediaan gel kombinasi ekstrak daun kelor (Moringa oleifera L.) dan minyak sereh (Cimbopogon citratus) terhadap bakteri Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923. Pengujian dilakukan menggunakan metode sumuran, dengan formula gel yang terdiri atas tiga konsentrasi ekstrak daun kelor (5%, 10%, dan 20%) serta minyak sereh sebesar 2%. Sebagai kontrol positif digunakan klindamisin, sementara kontrol pembanding berupa gel tanpa zat aktif, dan kontrol negatif menggunakan aquades steril. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sediaan gel kombinasi menghasilkan zona hambatan dengan kategori "kuat" untuk semua formula, masing-masing sebesar 10,6 mm (F1), 11 mm (F2), dan 12 mm (F3). Kontrol positif klindamisin menunjukkan aktivitas "sangat kuat" dengan zona hambatan 20,7 mm, sementara minyak sereh sendiri menghasilkan zona hambatan yang lebih besar (27 mm) dibandingkan kombinasi dengan ekstrak daun kelor. Analisis statistik menunjukkan tidak adanya perbedaan signifikan antara formula gel (p = 0,058).
