Abstract

This research was based on the result of researher’s observation in state senior high schools in Lubuk Linggau City which found that Geography teachers’ professional competence was low. The purpose of this research was to obtain policy directions of Geography teacher’s professional competence in mastering natural disaster adaptation and mitigation materials in state senior high scools in Lubuk Linggau City regarding: (1) Geography Teacher’s professional competence, (2) Problems faced by Geography Teacher, and (3) Efforts to improve Geography teacher’s professional competence.This research was a descriptive mixed method research. The sampling technique used was purposive sample, a way to take a sample based on certain consideration.Population of the research was 14 Geography teachers who were teaching in state senior high schools in Lubuk Linggau City. Instruments used were interviews (on teachers, schools principals, education authorities of Lubuk Linggau City), questionnaire and obervation sheet. The questionnaire used likert’s five scale and it was considered to be valid and reliable based on the data from the pilot test of the questionnaire which was analyzed by SPSS version 16. To analyze the data, the researcher calculated the mean value of item response. The result of the study showed that the policy directions of Geography teacher’s professional competence in mastering natural disaster adaptation and mitigation in state senior high schools in Lubuk Linggau City were (1) Geography teacher’s mastery of Syllabus, Lesson Plan, and teaching material, (2) Reactivating MGMP (the forum of subject teachers) activity especially for Geography teachers in Lubuk Linggau City, (3) Improving Geography teacher’s motivation through science and technology training program, (4)Supplying enough facilities to support teaching and learning process, and (5) Improving the professional competence of Geography teachers through coaching by supervisors and principals. The result of this research suggested five policy direction priorities. These priorities could be suggested to head of the education office and other related parties in order to improve Geograpy teacher’s professional competence in state senior high schools in Lubuk Linggau City.

Abstract

Digital transformation assessment has not received full attention and is still rarely carried out by art galleries/museums in Indonesia. Digital transformation research on library and information science (LIS) that covers GLAM's concept focuses more on libraries, archives, and museums, while art galleries are scarce, especially in Indonesia. This study aims to conduct a digital transformation assessment of art galleries, especially the National Gallery of Indonesia (Galnas). The research uses a quantitative method by applying a digital transformation framework questionnaire that had tested at 400 cultural institutions in Italy (including art galleries). This research measures the Digital Readiness Index (DRI) on five dimensions: people, technology, processes, customers, strategy and investment. Interviews with Galnas managers had conducted to confirm the questionnaire’s answers. The results showed that the DRI value of the strategy and investment dimensions was 0.59; technology 0.22; people 0.14; processes and customers each 0.07. The overall level of digital readiness for Galnas is low.

Abstract

Representasi perpustakaan dalam film animasi telah banyak diteliti, namun penelitian tentang representasi perpustakaan dalam film animasi yang diproduksi di Indonesia masih sangat jarang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi representasi perpustakaan dalam film animasi Bona and Friends episode “Ke Perpustakaan” di YouTube Majalah Bobo. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan semiotika Roland Barthes untuk mengidentifikasi makna denotasi, konotasi, dan mitos. Unit analisis terdiri dari audio dan visual. Audio merujuk pada narasi oleh narator, dialog oleh tokoh-tokoh di dalam film, dan musik. Visual meliputi setting dan gesture/aksi. Setting mencakup fasilitas, tata letak, pencahayaan, dan warna. Pengumpulan data penelitian menggunakan teknik observasi pada film animasi Bona and Friends episode “Ke Perpustakaan” serta pendokumentasian melalui tangkap layar setiap adegan yang terkait dengan perpustakaan. Langkah-langkah penelitian adalah: 1) menentukan objek penelitian; 2) mendokumentasikan film dengan cara mengunduh, melakukan tangkap layar setiap adegan, dan mencatat dialog terkait perpustakaan; 3) menganalisis adegan yang merepresentasikan perpustakaan dan mengkategorikan berdasarkan makna denotasi, konotasi, dan mitos melalui komponen audio dan visual; 4) menyusun kesimpulan penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perpustakaan direpresentasikan sebagai perpustakaan anak yang berfungsi sebagai tempat menyimpan dan meminjam bermacam-macam buku. Representasi perpustakaan anak tersebut meliputi komponen-komponen berupa pustakawan, pemustaka, serta fasilitas yang mendukung aktivitas perpustakaan. Penelitian menyimpulkan representasi perpustakaan menekankan pada penggunaan dan sistem digital yang mampu mendukung aktivitas pencarian buku secara efektif dan efisien.
