Abstract

Since 2020, the Covid-19 pandemic has made “work from home” regulation implemented in almost all Indonesian companies to prevent the transmission of the virus among workers. Companies including architectural consultants then use online video conference applications such as Zoom to support coordination in work in the pandemic era. Architectural consultants used into conventional methods such as direct discussions, sketches, or drawing discussion with printed documents are then required to adapt to online media. The purpose of this study is to determine the design features of the Zoom application that are able to support the productivity of architectural consulting firms. This research provides information for architecture consultants to find out the types of design features can be used during online conferences. The method in this study is a descriptive qualitative, where the researcher observes the use of the Zoom on an architectural consultant and analyzes its suitability with the needs of an architectural consultant. This research shows that design features in the Zoom application such as screen share, whiteboard and file sharing are effective to help architectural consulting firms work in the pandemic era.

Abstract

Abstract: Schools are formal educational institutions that systematically implement learning programs to develop the potential of students. However, the current school concept tends to be rigid and conventional, which requires a strategic approach such as an ecoliteracy approach that aims to build ecological awareness and understanding of environmental issues. Green behavior can be formed through the elaboration of educational aspects, technology and cooperation, so that later it is more responsive and responsible for the environment. Considering the geographical conditions of SDN 3 Baturiti that support the concept of environmentally friendly buildings, the optimization of the ecoliteracy approach is carried out through the redesign of the school using the concept of green architecture. The implementation refers to the green assessment tools and parameters from various literature studies, such as the use of environmentally friendly and recycled materials; thermal and visual comfort; resource and energy efficiency; addition and expansion of several spaces; interior rearrangement; and the use of stimulating colors and textures. The research uses glass box and black box design methods that focus on environmental integration, energy efficiency, functionality and aesthetics. The result of the research is the redesign of SDN 3 Baturiti with the concept of green architecture to support learning with an ecoliteracy approach, because environmental education plays an important role in realizing an environmentally sound society in the future. Keyword: ecoliteration; green architecture; green school; sustainability Abstrak: Sekolah merupakan lembaga pendidikan formal yang secara sistematis melaksanakan program pembelajaran dalam rangka mengembangkan potensi peserta didik. Namun konsep sekolah yang saat ini cenderung kaku dan konvensional, memerlukan pendekatan strategis seperti pendekatan ekoliterasi yang bertujuan untuk membangun kesadaran ekologis dan pemahaman tentang isu lingkungan. Perilaku hijau tersebut dapat dibentuk melalui elaborasi aspek pendidikan, teknologi, dan kolaborasi, sehingga nantinya lebih responsif dan bertanggung jawab terhadap lingkungan. Mempertimbangkan kondisi geografis SDN 3 Baturiti yang mendukung konsep bangunan ramah lingkungan, optimalisasi pendekatan ekoliterasi dilakukan melalui perancangan ulang sekolah menggunakan konsep arsitektur hijau. Implementasi mengacu pada rating tools greenship dan parameter dari berbagai kajian literatur, seperti penggunaan material ramah lingkungan dan daur ulang; kenyamanan thermal dan visual; efisiensi sumber daya dan energi; penambahan dan perluasan beberapa ruang; penataan ulang interior; serta penggunaan warna dan tekstur yang memberi stimulan. Penelitian menggunakan metode glass box dan black box design yang fokus pada integrasi lingkungan; efisiensi energi; fungsionalitas; dan estetika. Hasil dari penelitian adalah perancangan ulang SDN 3 Baturiti dengan konsep arsitektur hijau guna mendukung pembelajaran dengan pendekatan ekoliterasi, sebab pendidikan lingkungan berperan penting dalam mewujudkan masyarakat yang berwawasan lingkungan kedepannya.
