Abstract

The involvement of ulama during elections is increasingly not only giving lectures, impressions and advice, but also providing "direct" positive support to leaders. In today's election issues can be seen increasingly experiencing a shift. For example, in the 2019 presidential elections, KH. Ma'ruf Amin as vice president. In particular, there are three formulations of the problem, namely: first, what is the role of the ulama during elections in Indonesia and its correlation with hadith? second, what is the profile and track record of KH. Ma'ruf Amin? third, what is the shape of the shift in the involvement of the clergy in the 2019 presidential elections? This paper uses qualitative research methods based on data sources obtained from books, journals, theses and media sites related to the same theme. In analyzing the research data, the researcher carried out three activities, namely data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion/verification which took place simultaneously. The results are, first, the role of the Ulama in bringing prosperity to the nation begins to roll in the presidential elections thus encouraging the political elite to "approach" the Ulama in order to form a "religious" image. Second, before serving as Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Ma'ruf Amin was a scholar with the positions of General Chair of the MUI and Executive Board of Nadhatul Ulama (PBNU). Third, the shift in the role of the ulema then went up one level when one of the Indonesian Islamic leaders, namely KH. Ma'ruf Amin was nominated as Joko Widodo's running mate in the 2019 presidential elections. During his candidacy, he also conveyed to santri in Indonesia that ulama can also be leaders.

Abstract

The main point of this study discusses the historiography of hadith during the time of Rasulullah SAW according to the view of Muhammad 'Ajjāj al-Khatīb who focuses on the book al-Sunnah Qabla al-Tadwīn. This study is interesting to study because the history of hadith writing and its transmission during the time of Rasulullah SAW is still controversial today, and there are differences of opinion both among hadith scholars themselves and from orientalist circles. Therefore, in this study, the author chose to examine the views of a contemporary hadith scholar who had a life interval far from Rasulullah SAW. then this study has the aim of explaining historically the views of Muhammad 'Ajjāj al-Khatib on the history of hadith writing in the era of Rasulullah SAW. The method used in completing this research is qualitative, as well as a type of library research by collecting and analyzing primary data using a historical approach. The results obtained from this study indicate that 'Ajjāj al-Khatib assumes that there is no controversy between the traditions that prohibit and allow the writing of hadiths at the time of the Prophet, and both are not generaly so that all narrations are judged as authentic hadiths.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the assessment of the hadith of the prophet by Nashiruddin Al-Albani in one of the hadith books of a contemporary Jordanian scholar named Hassan bin Ali Assaqaf. This research method is library research with a qualitative method that is organized descriptively, comparatively, and analytically. The book of Tanaqudhat al-Albani al-Wadihat by Hasan bin Ali Assaqaf is a book that contains corrections to Nashiruddin al-Albani's mistakes in assessing the Prophetic traditions. The inconsistencies made by al-Albani made Hasan bin Ali Assaqaf examine his works to find out more about the mistakes made by al-Albani. Shaykh al-Albani is a Muslim scholar who devotes all his abilities in researching the Prophetic traditions. However, al-Albani's efforts were countered by Hasan b. 'Ali Assaqaf because of al-Albani's errors and inconsistencies in assessing hadith, as well as his attitude of not following the previous scholars of hadith who prioritized faith over ijtihad
