Abstract

Tujuan Penulisan ini untuk mengidentifikasi peraturan hukum mengenai pemasangan serta pemeliharaan kabel bawah laut sehingga berpengaruh pada upaya represif dan preventif yang dapat dilakukan oleh Kementerian Perhubungan. Metode yang digunkan dalam penulisan ini adalah metode hukum normatif dengan di dapat hasil Pemasangan kabel dibawah laut yang ditanam untuk menyebarkan aliran gelombang elektromagnetik sehingga masyarakat dapat dengan mudah mengakses jaringan internet. Namun dalam perjalanan terdapat persoalan yang mengakibatkan kerusakan kabel bawah laut sehingga menyebabkan gangguan internet yang dialami oleh masyarakat sekitar. Hal ini diatur dalam Undang-Undang Nomor 36 Tahun 1999 tentang Telekomunikasi. The purpose of this writing is to identify legal regulations regarding the installation and maintenance of submarine cables so as to affect the repressive and preventive efforts that can be made by the Ministry of Transportation. The method used in this writing is the normative legal method with the results of the installation of underwater cables that are planted to spread the flow of electromagnetic waves so that people can easily access the internet network. However, on the way there are problems that result in damage to the submarine cable, causing internet interference experienced by the surrounding community. This is regulated in Law Number 36 of 1999 concerning Telecommunications.
