Abstract

Moral education is certainly important for all levels of education, from elementary school to university. In general, moral education is actually needed from an early age to become a leader. This study aims, First, to find out the strategy of the head of the madrasa in managing the moral education of students at MA Al-Muhsinin Pijot. Second, to find out what are the supporting and inhibiting factors in improving student morals and achievement at MA Al-Muhsinin Pijot. This study uses a qualitative approach. Data collection methods used by researchers include: Observation, interviews, and documentation. The research findings show that: First; a) reading the prayer reciting the yellow book together at the mosque, b) scholarship program, c) tahfis al qur'an, d) dhuha prayer in congregation before class, e) holding midday prayer in congregation at school, f) commemoration of holidays Islam, Second; The principal's strategic steps in building a religious culture at MA Al-Muhsinin Pijot are: through programs, planning, providing examples, partnerships and contributing to activities, habituation and evaluation. Third; Supporting and inhibiting factors in improving student morals and achievement in MA AL–Muhsinin Pijot, a) supporting factors, in increasing student morals and achievement are curriculum and learning, madrasa institutional organization, facilities and infrastructure, manpower (teachers and staff), financing, and community roles. b) the inhibiting factor in improving student morals and achievement at MA Al–Muhsinin Pijot is the number of skilled teachers, the background of students is less supportive. Efforts to improve morals and student achievement must be addressed together so that there are changes that occur in madrasas so as to create superior madrasas.

Abstract

Education is business conscious and planned for realizing atmosphere learning and the learning process for students in a way active develop potency himself for own religious spiritual power, control self, personality, intelligence, morals glorious as well as necessary skills himself, society, nation, and state. Study this aims to know what is the head's strategy school to increase professionalism at SDN 2 Katanga Jeraeng. Study This is a study qualitative with a method study. Data collection techniques used that is observation (Observation), interviews, and documentation. As for technique analysis used in the study, this is analysis descriptive qualitative. The position of the teacher as an educator needs something ability capable of professional support to achieve objective education, so capable of creating changes Act sells, fine at school nor in society. Teacher professionalism can be formed through improvement programs. Enhancement of the expected capable support teachers in operating duties and roles as professional educators. The problems that occur in connection with the enhancement of teacher professionalism at SDN 2 Katanga jerking relate to weak motivation that teachers have in developing professionalism and lack of means supporting infrastructure.  Enhancement of teacher professionalism is an effort made head school to increase the effectiveness of its work. With the existing enhancement, the teacher is expected to be able to increase the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of employees in carrying out their tasks as a teacher. Efforts made head school to increase teacher professionalism include seminars, training, training, workshops, and regular meetings that discuss problems/with the existing teachers.
