Abstract

The creation of this artwork aims to be able to educate the public about discrimination against women which is often not realized, invite the wider community to stop attitudes and behaviors that discriminate against women, and be able to implement it into the form of painting so that it can be enjoyed by the wider community directly. as well as through print and electronic media. The creation of this painting is carried out using the exploration method, namely in the form of exploration of ideas and concepts, exploration of forms, exploration of media and techniques, aesthetic exploration, and data obtained from research conducted previously so as to produce primary and secondary data. In the creation of a painting with the title “Beauty Myths as Inspiration for the Creation of Paintings”, an embodiment of painting is produced with canvas as the main media with sizes ranging from 80x100 Cm, 130x100 Cm, to 120x100 Cm. With the creation of works of art regarding forms of discrimination against women, knowledge and lessons can be learned from these paintings. Abstract

The purpose of this creation is to develop, introduce, the culture or custom of karo marriage in the form of painting. And can implement it in the form of painting so that it can be enjoyed by the community without having to wait for the moment of the Karo traditional wedding directly. The method of creating this work uses the Exploration method, including; idea exploration, concept exploration, form exploration, media exploration, technical exploration, aesthetic exploration and data analysis, namely primary data and secondary data. The embodiment of this work is in the form of paintings with canvas as the main media with sizes ranging from 70 X 90 Cm, 100 X 100 Cm, to 150 x 150 Cm. The creation of this painting is to implement and tell stories about the Karo traditional wedding in North Sumatra. Abstract

This writing aims to (1) describe children's games as ideas or inspiration for the creation of a work of Pop Up Books (2) describe the depiction of the form and process of making Visual Communication Design in the form of a three-dimensional Pop-up Book that elevates Lombok NTB's Traditional Children's Games in order to remain maintain and preserve the local wisdom of the archipelago through children's games. The methods used in the creation of this artwork include exploration and experimentation. In this case, the exploration was carried out by searching for libraries, pictures and all information related to the theme that I took, namely traditional games for children from Lombok, NTB. Then in terms of this exploration, do a sketch activity, which is then visualized in several uses of several bitmap-based applications such as Ibis applications on mobile phones and Coreldraw applications using laptops. The work is done by starting from making a sketch, then designing, printing, then cutting and pasting until finally it becomes a Pop-up book. The results of the discussion and creation are as follows: 1. The theme of the work presented in: Final Project is Traditional Children's Games in Lombok NTB, with the title "Designing Pop-up Books for Traditional Children's Games as Preservation of Local Wisdom in Lombok NTB". 2. These Visual Communication Designs visualize a collaborative design of Ibis and Coreldraw applications and then the results are printed using an albartos paper machine and create a work called Pop-up Book. 3. The number of book pages created is 11 pages consisting of 1 opening page, 9 Pop-up game pages, and 1 closing page along with front and back covers, with a manufacturing period of 4 months in 2021 starting from July-October. Abstract

Burung Ruai dalam konteks liminalitas tradisi Kalimantan sebagai ide penciotaan seni kriya kayu merupakan sebuah ide yang muncul dan bersumber dari fakta-fakta di lapangan kemudian menjadi salah satu faktor yang kuat bagi penulis untuk mengangkat permasalahan dan keindahan burung Ruai pada habitat alaminya sampai kerusakan ekosistem yang berpengaruh juga terhadap makhluk hidup lainnya seperti manusia itu sendiri. Kalimantan merupakan pulau yang termasuk dalam wilayah Indonesia yang dimana pada pulau Kalimantan berbatasan langsung dengan Negara lain seperti Malaysia. Kalimantan mempunyai kondisi tanah yang gambut. Burung ruai dengan nama Latin Argusianus Argus memiliki bulu yang indah dan sangat panjang, keindahan bulu terletak pada warna bulu yang mempunyai bentuk seperti mata oleh karena itu burung Ruai disebut dengan burung seratus mata. Selain dari keindahan bulu burung ruai memiliki keindahan gerak pada saat menarik perhatian lawan jenis, dari keindahan gerak burung ruai membuat masyarakat Dayak mengimplementasikannya kedalam bentuk tari tradisional yang ada di Kalimantan Barat dan juga memiliki nilai filosofis dari masyarakat dayak yaitu sebagai kelincahan nenek moyang dalam menjaga dan melestarikan alam di Kalimantan.  Metode yang digunakan dalam proses penciptaan seni ini dengan menggunakan pendekatan Based Practice Method. Jenis penelitian deskriptif kwalitatif dengan pendekatan metode Based Practice Method yang digunakan sebagai basis proses penciptaan seni ini.  Dalam proses perwujudan karya dengan tema “Visualisasi Burung Ruai Sebagai Ide Penciptaan Seni Kriya Kayu”. Hasil transformasi gagasan burung Ruai merepresentasikan kondisi transendensi antara realitas dan mitos dalam konteks liminalitas dalam seni. Artikel ini bertujuan membahas tentang dasar filosofis Burung Ruai yang ditransformasikan melalui proses penciptaan seni ukir kayu yang lebih kontekstual dalam konstelasi estetika Timur. Berbagai elemen yang ada di dalam lingkungan hidup membuat stimulant dalam memilih burung ruai sebagai objek dalam penciptaan karya seni kriya kayu. Pemilihan subject matter tak sekadar sebagai sumber inspirasi melainkan ada kesadaran liminalitas terhadap akar tradisi yang begitu menghormati symbol Ruai dalam narasi budaya Kalimantan.  Subjectmatter dicermati dan dianalisis melalui pengamatan dan pemahaman dan mengolah data yang divisualisasikan dalam bentuk karya seni kriya kayu

Abstract

The motifs on the cloth are increasingly diverse, but can still be developed with various explorations, both materials and techniques. The method in this research is to make observations and study the literature first to get the potential of the shibori technique. There is an opportunity or potential for the shibori technique to be developed further by utilizing various textile techniques. Geometric is a symmetrical and regular formation consisting of several shapes such as rectangles, triangles, circles, rhombuses and many more. Meanwhile, shibori is a color barrier technique originating from Japan. The method used in the exploration of this shibori work is the application of shape and design. The author makes thoughts and observations about the ideas, concepts and techniques that will be used. The author makes designs according to the results that have been observed and thought about, then processed into a batik work using geometric motifs and shibori techniques. keyword: geometric, shibori

Abstract

The motivation behind this research stems from the primary school kids' limited understanding and lack of inventiveness when it comes to arranging floor patterns in dance. The objective of this study is to assess the cognitive abilities and artistic innovation of primary school kids in the arrangement of dance floor patterns, and propose strategies to enhance their proficiency and inventiveness in this domain. The research was carried out at SDN Pleret Lor, including a total of 10 pupils in the sixth grade. The employed research methodology is qualitative research, specifically descriptive study. Data gathering techniques encompass the methods of observation, documentation, interviews, and surveys. The findings of this study indicate that students' proficiency and ingenuity in organising floor designs are frequently deficient. The researchers propose a novel approach, called the MPPM method, to enhance students' knowledge and creativity in creating floor patterns. This strategy involves a sequence of learning activities, starting with reading and watching, followed by guided direction, project work, and evaluations. During the guided briefing stage, students receive instructions on how to organise floor patterns in dance and the factors that need to be taken into account when organising them, such as their compatibility with dance themes, costumes, and motions.

Abstract

This study seeks to enhance the capacity for identifying primary and secondary colors through the utilization of experimental techniques that can foster students' cognitive faculties and bolster the efficacy of the learning process. The experimental method is an instructional approach in which students engage in doing experiments, observing the process, recording the experiment's outcomes, and subsequently presenting and having their observations evaluated by the teacher. The study methodology employed is descriptive qualitative research. The employed data collection techniques encompassed observation and interviews. The research findings indicate that students' proficiency in generating secondary colors is enhanced when experimental approaches are employed. Through the utilization of the experimental approach, students have the ability to generate secondary colors based on their individual preferences. In addition, the experimental method enhances pupils' confidence in color recognition. The students successfully created 15 secondary colors by combining primary colors with either primary colors or secondary colors.
