Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of collaboration between teachers and students in learning Indonesian. This collaboration is marked by cooperation in improving the quality of learning by designing inquiry-based Indonesian language learning model books. This model book is designed to be more attractive to educators and students by considering the content and design to suit the needs and characteristics of students. This research aims to develop an inquiry-based Indonesian language learning model that is viewed from the aspects of validity, practicality and effectiveness. The research uses research and development methods using the Plomp model which consists of preliminary research, prototypes and assessment. Research findings reveal that the model developed produces high validity seen from the results of expert assessments, while the practicality of the model shows very high results seen from teacher assessments when testing this model. Apart from that, the effectiveness of the model is very effective as seen from the presentation of this model which is clear and well organized, the language used is easy to understand, and the structure of the model is attractive. Overall, this model can be applied well in Indonesian language learning, because it can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This article examines literature from an educational perspective, focusing on three main aspects: the definition of literature, its various types, and forms of literary appreciation. This study is based on theoretical analysis derived from both classical literature and recent research. The results of the discussion indicate that literature is an expression of human experience expressed through aesthetic, imaginative, and meaningful language. Literary types can be classified based on form (prose, poetry, drama) and content (narrative, lyric, didactic, dramatic, and reflective). Each type has its own characteristics that reflect the diversity of culture and societal values.Furthermore, literary appreciation is understood as an active process involving the understanding, evaluation, and appreciation of literary works, encompassing not only cognitive aspects but also affective and social aspects. In an educational context, literary appreciation plays a crucial role in developing language skills, enriching vocabulary, fostering aesthetic sensitivity, and instilling moral and social values. These findings emphasize that literature learning in elementary schools should emphasize not only theory but also concrete experiences through reading, writing, discussion, and performance. Thus, literature not only functions as entertainment but also as an educational tool that supports the intellectual, emotional, and character development of students.

Abstract

Writing skills are a crucial aspect of language learning, playing a significant role in developing elementary school students' thinking, communication, and creativity skills. This study aims to analyze writing skills as an integral part of language learning, encompassing an understanding of the concept of writing, types of writing, and the steps students take in the writing process. The research method used was descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and document analysis of student writing. The results indicate that most students still experience difficulty expressing their ideas in a structured manner and in accordance with proper Indonesian language rules. Contributing factors include a lack of writing practice, limited vocabulary, and a limited understanding of the writing stages, from prewriting to revision. Teachers play a crucial role in guiding students through the implementation of engaging and contextual writing learning strategies. The study's conclusions emphasize that writing skills must be developed sustainably as part of a comprehensive language learning process, taking into account the process, types of writing, and students' communication needs at the elementary school level.
