Abstract

Islamic Religious Education in primary schools often faces the challenge of connecting religious knowledge with students’ daily behavior. Religious values are frequently taught in the classroom, but they are not always actualized through concrete school activities that shape students’ personalities. This study aims to examine the actualization of Islamic Religious Education in shaping the personality of fifth-grade students through the Dhuha prayer habituation program at SDN Sukatani Cianjur. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving the principal, Islamic Religious Education teacher, classroom teacher, and fifth-grade students. The data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was strengthened through source and technique triangulation. The findings show that the Dhuha prayer habituation program actualizes Islamic Religious Education through routine worship practice, teacher guidance, religious discipline, and direct moral reinforcement. The program contributes to the development of students’ trustworthiness, worship discipline, responsibility, honesty, social care, and respect for teachers. This study concludes that Dhuha prayer habituation can become a concrete medium for actualizing Islamic Religious Education in primary schools because it connects religious instruction with repeated practice and visible personality formation.
