Abstract

The emergence of the fatherless phenomenon is often due to a parenting paradigm that is influenced by patriarchal culture. Where it is said that the process of taking care of children is borne by the mother and fathers should not take care of children or be involved in parenting. The impact of fatherless will be different at each stage of the age of the child left behind, especially closely related to subjective well-being and especially in adolescents who are in a crucial period in their developmental stages. This study aims to find out how the description of subjective well-being in fatherless adolescents? The research uses qualitative research methods using semi-structured interviews and observation. Informants in this study are adolescents aged 15-18 years with the characteristics of adolescents from fatherless families. The results of this study state that the description of subjective well-being in fatherless adolescents is known in the affective component characterized by the presence of various kinds of negative and positive emotions related to the fatherless experiences they experience. In addition, the cognitive life evaluation component is characterized by global satisfaction and domain-specific satisfaction. The involvement of the role of father figures in the family is able to help assist adolescents in their crucial periods, especially in the affective aspect in the form of positive emotions and life satisfaction.

Abstract

The demands and heavy workload in a profession, especially related to the legal field, cause the importance of studying work engagement in their work. Work engagement is a condition of individuals who have positive thoughts and have high motivation in relation to their work. This is certainly influenced by the burdens and demands inherent in the work undertaken. This research reveals how the dynamics of work engagement exist in judges? What aspects and factors influence work engagement in judges? The research was conducted using a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method. The informants in this study were ten district court judges. The results showed that in addition to passion, dedication, and depth of focus, there is also usefulness as a dimension of the work engagement of judges. Factors that can affect work engagement are safety factors, working life factors, organizational, psychological, and emotional factors. Work engagement is formed by aspects and influenced by factors so that judges feel attached when at work, get new knowledge, reconcile (mediation), represent the justice system, and make the right decision to make prisoners aware.

Abstract

The phenomenon of coffee and work from café started to spread after the COVID-19 pandemic. The younger generation in general prefers to spend a lot of time doing activities in a café for both work and social reasons. Looking at the various reasons used to always carry out activities in coffee shops and cafes is an interesting study to add to the repertoire of knowledge about consumer behavior. This study aims to answer the question of how consumer behavior underlies the decision of the younger generation to hang out at a cafe, especially a coffee shop? The preparation of scientific articles is carried out using the literature review method. The journal articles searched were limited to research from 2019 to 2024.  The keywords used were "consumer behavior", "lifestyle", "cafe", and "coffee shop". Journal articles were selected according to the following criteria: (1) Contains the results of research on consumer behavior; (2) The research was conducted with subjects from generation Y and generation Z; (3) The research was conducted in the context of activities in cafes as a place of choice. In this review, there are 8 studies that fit the theme and criteria. Some of the things supporting consumer behavior that underlie the decision of the younger generation to hang out at a cafe, especially coffee shops, are divided into self-related, social, task/work, and lifestyle. The phenomenon of coffee is becoming increasingly embedded with the work from café culture that is promoted as an alternative to working outside the office. Keywords: Coffee, Consumer Behaviour, Work From Café
