Abstract

The problem of student learning outcomes in Civics subjects on social diversity, culture, and customs which are low and the average value has not reached the KKM, is the basis for this research. Based on the results of observations made by researchers, one of the obstacles faced in learning Civics is an ineffective learning model. To overcome this, researchers used the CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) learning approach toimprove Civics learning outcomes on the material of social diversity, culture, and customs in SD Plus Alfathonah Madlotilah, Bekasi Regency. The research was conducted in two cycles. Before carrying out the action, an initial test was held to find out the extent of knowledge possessed by students. The learning method uses the contextual teaching and learning (CTL) approach. The research subjects were third grade students of SD PLUS alfathonah Madlotilah, Bekasi Regency, consisting of 13 female students and 14 male students. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out in cycle I, the incompleteness is obtained 55.56% and changes to complete 44.44%, then in cycle II it increases to 100% or can be said to be perfect. So it can be concluded from this research by using the concept of Contextual Teaching and Learning the learning process has improved

Abstract

Pembelajaran PKn di SDN Telajung 01 masih banyak siswa kelas lima yang mendapat nilai rendah. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan, sangat terlihat dari cara guru mengaplikasikan metode yang kurang beragam dalam pembelajaran, sehingga kurang mendukung fokus dan aktifnya siswa pada saat pembelajaran berlangsung. Oleh karena itu, guna meningkatkan proses pembelajaran, penggunaan metode Cooperative Script diharapkan dapat mendorong siswa untuk mendapatkan hasil belajar yang lebih baik. Target khusus penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pemahaman dan penguasaan mata pelajaran PKn telah meningkat setelah diterapkannya pembelajaran dengan metode Cooperative Script. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret sampai akhir bulan April tahun 2023. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 30 siswa yakni, 14 siswa laki-laki dan 16 siswa perempuan kelas V di SDN Telajung 01. Informasi yang diterima berupa hasil penilaian (Evaluasi) dan lembar observasi kegiatan belajar mengajar. Jenis Penelitian Tindakan kelas yang digunakan dalam metode ini yakni dengan menggunakan model Kemmis dan Teggart, dengan empat tahapan yakni rencana, Tindakan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Hasil pengamatan yang telah dilakukan, siswa mengalami cukup peningkatan yakni, 85% dengan kategori sangat baik dalam dua siklus. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Cooperative script pada pembelajaran PKn di SDN Telajung 01 dapat meningkat setelah model Cooperative Script diterapkan. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat dijadikan acuan untuk meningkatkan mutu dari penelitian yang akan dilakukan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Role Playing method in enhancing students' understanding and character development at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah through a literature review. Role Playing is an active learning method that allows students to enact specific roles or situations. This method is considered relevant for developing students' cognitive, affective, and social abilities. The research employs a literature review approach by analyzing various studies related to the implementation of the Role Playing method in elementary education. The findings indicate that this method effectively improves students' comprehension of learning materials through concrete and participatory learning experiences. Moreover, Role Playing significantly contributes to character building, such as fostering self-confidence, empathy, and communication skills. Key factors supporting the success of this method include well-planned scenarios, the teacher's role as a facilitator, and active student participation. However, challenges such as time management and resource limitations were also identified. These findings provide valuable insights for educators at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah to leverage the Role Playing method as an innovative teaching approach.
