Abstract

Learning to wash hands properly to children can be taught as early as possible because it improves children's abilities and resilience and makes children able to look after or care for themselves. Washing hands is an action to prevent and control disease which is part of the clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS) program in schools. The method in this research uses quantitative research with a descriptive design. The research results showed that the level of knowledge about how to wash hands properly and correctly is an area that requires more attention in public health programs, especially because the majority of respondents of both genders have inadequate knowledge. Higher parental education was associated with children's better knowledge about hand washing. In contrast, lower parental education tends to correlate with children's lack of knowledge about these practices. Health education efforts should be more focused on families with lower parental education to improve children's understanding and basic health practices

The type of research used was descriptive quantitative research with a cross-sectional study design. The sample was obtained by Accidental Sampling with a total of 35 respondents from 125 families of the total population. The instruments used in this study were questionnaire sheets and iodine tests for data collection. This study showed that as many as 16 respondents (45.7%) had sufficient knowledge about the use of iodized salt, as many as 24 respondents (68.6%) had a positive and supportive attitude towards the use of iodized salt, as many as 29 respondents (82.9%) had good behavior towards the use of iodized salt. This study concludes that most of the people in the Gentungan Health Center Working Area almost entirely already use iodized salt as daily consumption and already have quite good knowledge, attitudes and behavior towards the consumption of iodized salt, but there are still a small number of respondents who do not understand how to use iodized salt properly. Abstract

Hypertension is a chronic disease that is common worldwide, typically known as high blood pressure. Hypertension is a chronic condition characterized by increased blood pressure on the arterial walls, often referred to as high blood pressure due to increased systolic blood Pressure above the normal limit of 140 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure above 90 mmHg. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of foot massage therapy in reducing blood pressure in elderly hypertensive patients. This study uses a descriptive case study design to thoroughly examine the application and impact of foot massage therapy. The initial assessment results show that the research subject experienced hypertension with a significant increase in blood pressure. After applying foot massage therapy gradually for three days, a decrease in blood pressure was observed, indicating the effectiveness of the intervention. The subject's blood pressure condition showed improvement and was resolved. This study concludes that foot massage therapy is effective in reducing blood pressure in elderly hypertensive patients. These results suggest that foot massage therapy can be a beneficial non- pharmacological intervention in managing hypertension in the elderly.
