Abstract

Insomnia is one of the many sleep disorders that can affect learning concentration so it can interfere with the learning process. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between insomnia and learning concentration in college students. The research method used was a descriptive correlation with a cross-sectional approach conducted on 266 students through a purposive sampling technique. The statistical test results of this study stated that 168 respondents (63.2%) experienced short-term insomnia, 218 respondents (82%) had high learning concentration, and there was a significant relationship (p=0.021) between insomnia and student learning concentration. Students need to organize their rest and activity time as well as possible so that learning concentration can be maintained. Keywords: insomnia, learning concentration. Abstrak Insomnia adalah salah satu dari sekian gangguan tidur yang dapat memengaruhi konsentrasi belajar sehingga dapat mengganggu proses pembelajaran. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui hubungan insomnia dengan konsentrasi belajar pada mahasiswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif korelasi dengan pendekatan cross-sectional yang dilakukan pada 266 mahasiswa melalui teknik purposive sampling. Hasil uji statistik dari penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa 168 responden (63,2%) mengalami insomnia jangka pendek, 218 responden (82%) memiliki konsentrasi belajar tinggi, serta terdapat hubungan yang signifikan (p=0,021) antara insomnia dan konsentrasi belajar mahasiswa. Mahasiswa perlu mengatur waktu istirahat dan aktivitas sebaik mungkin supaya konsentrasi belajar bisa dipertahankan. Kata Kunci: insomnia, konsentrasi belajar.
