Abstract

Latar Belakang : Biji papaya (carica papaya L.) memiliki senyawa metabolit sekunder alkaloid, flavonoid, tanin, saponin, triterpenoid, berpotensi sebagai antibakteri terhadap bakteri Propionibacterium acnes, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidi.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui aktivitas antibakteri sediaan Face mist spray Ekstrak etanol Biji papaya (carica papaya L.) Pada konsentrasi 15%,18%dan 20%. Metode yang di gunakan pada penelitian ini adalah eksperimental dengan melakukan pengujian parameter parameter uji evaluasi fisik sediaan face mist spray yang meli puti uji organoleptic, uji homogenitas, uji ph, uji viskositas, uji waktu kering. Uji aktivitas antibakteri dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode difusi cakram dengan 3 kali pengulangan. Hasil aktivitas antibakteri dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode one-way ANOVA di lanjut dengan uji Post hoc Tukey HSD Hasil penelitian yang di dapatkan pada bakteri Propionibacterium acnes, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidi.dengan metode difusi cakram. Hasil uji ekstrak etanol biji pepaya dengan zona hambat tertinggi terhadap bakteri Propionibacterium acnes pada konsentrasi 20% dengan zona hambat 21,79 mm sangat kuat. ekstrak etanol biji pepaya dengan zona hambat tertinggi terhadap bakteri Staphylococcus epidermidi pada konsentrasi 20% dengan zona hambat 20,81 mm yaitu saangat kuat, sedangakan pada bakteri Staphylococcus aureus ekstrak etanol biji pepaya dengan zona hambat tertinggi dengan diameter zona hambat yaitu 17,40 mm dengan kategori kuat.Verietas yang memberikan zona hambat tertinggi adalah ekstrak etanol biji pepaya (carica papaya L).
