Abstract

Flooding is a hydrometeorological disaster that frequently occurs in Indonesia and causes significant impacts on residential areas. The limitations of early warning systems at the household scale often result in communities being late in taking preventive actions. This study aims to design and develop a prototype of a flood detection system based on Arduino Uno that is capable of providing early warnings through a buzzer and displaying water level information on an LCD. The system uses an HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor to measure water surface levels in real time and classify them into three conditions, namely safe, alert, and danger. The research method employed is a design-and-build method with an experimental approach. Testing was conducted in a simulated environment with variations in water level up to 10 cm. The test results show that the system is able to detect changes in water level consistently with relatively small measurement deviations and provide warning responses according to the specified thresholds. This prototype is expected to serve as a simple, economical, and easily implementable solution for a flood early warning system in residential environments.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of digital marketing in the development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Pematang Serai Village, Langkat Regency. By utilizing digital technologies such as social media and e-commerce platforms, MSMEs in this village strive to increase market reach, marketing efficiency, and the competitiveness of local products. The methodology used includes a qualitative approach through observation, interviews, and literature studies. The results show that the implementation of digital marketing has a positive impact on increasing sales and product recognition of MSMEs. Supporting factors for success include village government support, MSME enthusiasm, ongoing mentoring, and adequate digital infrastructure. However, challenges such as limited digital literacy and access to technology still need to be addressed. This study concludes that digital marketing has a strategic role in empowering MSMEs in rural areas and recommends improving training and digital infrastructure for sustainable MSME development

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology encourages business actors to utilize digital media as an effective means of promotion and information delivery. Warkop Jurnalis Medan, as a local culinary business, still relies on conventional promotional media, which limits the reach of information to consumers. This study aims to design an interactive multimedia website that functions as a promotional and information medium for Warkop Jurnalis Medan. The research method used is the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) method, which includes the stages of requirements analysis, design, implementation, and testing. The website is designed by integrating multimedia elements such as text, images, video, and interactive animation to enhance user engagement. The results of this study indicate that the interactive multimedia website is capable of presenting information on menus, prices, locations, and the coffee shop's atmosphere in a more attractive and easily accessible manner for the public. With this website, it is expected to increase promotional effectiveness, expand marketing reach, and boost consumer interest in visiting Warkop Jurnalis Medan.
