Abstract

Abstrak. Indikasivkeberhasilan meningkatkanvsumber daya manusiavdalam bidangvpendidikan sesuai kebutuhanvabad 21 adalahvmunculnya kemampuanvberpikir tingkat tinggivatau HOTSv (Higher Order ThinkingvSkills). Artikel yang saya buat ini memilikivtujuan untuk memaparkanvbagaimana menjawab tantanganvperkembangan ilmuvpengetahuan dan teknologivyang semakin berkembangvpesat dengan mempersiapkanvlulusan anak didikvuntuk terus majuvdan berkembang denganvharapkan memilikivketrampilan abad 21vtermasuk di dalamnyavanak usiavdini. HOTSvmenyiapkan anakvusia dini memilikivketrampilan berpikirvkritis, vkreatif, problemvsolving dan prosesvmembuat keputusan. Inilahvyang kemudianvmenjadi tantangan bagimanavcara mengembangkanvHOTs padavanak usia dinivdengan mediavloose parts. Pemilihan mediavloose partsvmerupakan salah satuvmedia yang diperolehvdari lingkunganvterdekat anak sehinggavsangat mudah dijumpaivtanpa harus mengeluarkanvbiaya yang mahalvtetapi memfasilitasivanak untukvmenuangkan kreativitas denganvmenggunakan benda materialvbebas sehinggavanak memilikivkebebasan bereksperimenvdan bereksplorasi. Dalamvpenulisan ini, metodevyang saya gunakanvadalah studyvliteratur sehingga datavsaya ambil darivjurnal, bukuvdan penelitian yangvrelevan. Loosevparts memotivasivdan menstimulasi keingintahuanvdengan memberikanvmotivasi kepada anakvuntuk mengembangkanvketerampilan HOTs sepertivbelajar pemecahanvmasalah, kerjasama, vkemandirian, pembelajaranvberbasis proyek, vberbasis tantangan danvpenelitian sederhana. HOTsvdan STEAM mampuvuntuk melengkapi, vmembekali dan meningkatkanvkemampuan berpikirvkritis, kreatif, vkemampuan pemecahanvmasalah bahkan dalamvbelajar membuatvkeputusan padavanak usia dini Abstract. An indication of success in improving human resources in the field of education according to the needs of the 21st century is thevability to think at a highvlevel of HOTSv (Higher OrdervThinking Skills). This article aims to explain how to answer the challenges of the increasingly rapid development of science and technology by preparing graduate students to continue to advance and develop with the hope of having 21st century skills, including early childhood. HOTs prepare early childhood to have critical thinking skills, creative thinking, problem solving and decision making. This then becomes a challenge how to develop HOTs in early childhood with loose parts media. The selection of loose parts media is also one that is obtained from the child's closest environment. It is very easy to find in the natural environment without spending money but provides a place for children to express creativity in using free material objects so that children have the freedom to experiment and explore. In this paper, the method used is a literature study where the data are taken from relevant journals, books and research. Loose parts are able to stimulate curiosity by motivating children to develop HOTs skills such as problemvsolving, collaboration, vindependent learning, vproject-basedvlearning, challengevbased learning andvresearch. HOTs and STEAMvare able to complement, equip and improve critical thinking skills, creative thinking, problem solving skills even in making decisions in early childhood.
