Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused fear in society. The Covid-19 outbreak has resulted in policies such as restricted social activities, working from home (WFH), isolation, lock down and restrictions on religious activities. This situation results in many negative stressors that can be experienced by mothers who work at home. This situation can be reduced with psychological intervention, relaxation exercises, breathing exercises and awareness exercises. Progressive muscle relaxation technique is a method of relaxing muscles aimed at reducing muscle tension with easy and systematic implementation by tensing the muscles and then relaxing them again. Quasi experiment without control group with one group pretest and posttest design is the type of research used. The research sample was 50 working mothers with children undergoing the new normal during the Covid-19 pandemic. Sampling was taken using purposive sampling technique. The data instrument used was the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS 21) questionnaire, which consists of 21 questions. Based on the Wilcoxon test statistical test, there is an effect of PMR on psychological responses (depression) with a p value of 0.000, there is an effect of PMR on psychological responses (anxiety) with a p value of 0.000, there is an effect of PMR on psychological responses (stress) with a p value of 0.000. PMR makes a positive contribution to overcoming the mother's psychological response during the new normal during the Covid 19 pandemic. Key Words : Covid-19 ; PMR; Moms are living the new normal

Abstract

Fatigue, weakness and various musculoskeletal problems in people with type 2 diabetes (T2DM) can be overcome by regular, low-impact physical activity. The Indonesian government has a Physical Activity; Chronic Disease Management Programme (Prolanis) that can overcome musculoskeletal problems while maintaining stable blood glucose levels in T2DM. This study is qualitative phenomenology with a population of T2DM patients actively visiting the Aek Habil Health Centre area in Sibolga City, the research was conducted for approximately six months. Participants were six samples divided into two groups, purposive sampling technique, data collection process through interviews, observation and documentation methods, analysis and testing using triangulation, aiming to compare T2DM patients who follow physical activity; prolanis with patients who do not follow the programme. Results and conclusions: There were no differences in health complaints and differences in blood glucose levels in the two groups of participants, there were differences in physical description and quality of life in the group that did not participate in prolanis physical activities. Suggestion: It is necessary to evaluate and approach to improve the programme for T2DM patients who do not do physical activity; prolanis exercise.Keywords: DMT2, Exercises (Prolanis), Physical activity

Abstract

Abstrak: Stunting merupakan salah satu masalah kesehatan yang masih kita temui di Indonesia. Pada tahun 2024 Pemerintah Indonesia memiliki target untuk menurunkan gagal tumbuh atau stunting sebesar 14 persen. Dampak stunting dapat menimbulkan gangguan perkembangan otak, kecerdasan, masalah pertumbuhan fisik, dan gangguan metabolisme dalam tubuh, penurunan kemampuan kognitif, kemampuan belajar, menurunnya system imunitas sehingga mudah sakit. Tujuan Pengabdian Masyarakat ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat (Kader posyandu, ibu balita, ibu yang memiliki anak balita) dalam memanfaatkan daun kelor sebagai upaya alternatif untuk pencegahan stunting. Peserta kegiatan sebanyak 40 orang yang terdiri dari kader posyandu, Ibu hamil dan ibu Balita. Metode kegiatan adalah pre test dengan menggunakan 15 butir pertanyaan, ceramah dan dilanjutkan dengan tanya jawab, simulasi pemanfaatan daun kelor, pembagian benih/bibit daun kelordiakhiri dengan post test menggunakan 15 butir pertanyaan. Hasil kegiatan diperoleh peningkatan pengetahuan kader, ibu hamil dan ibu balita mayoritas cukup sebanyak 60% dan 40% pengetahuan baik. Pelaksanaan Kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan kader, ibu hamil dan ibu balita mengenai stunting dan pemanfaatan daun kelor sebagai upaya alternatif pencegahan stunting.Abstract: Stunting is a health problem that we still encounter in Indonesia. By 2024 the Indonesian Government has a target to reduce growth failure or stunting by 14 percent. Stunting has an impact on children's cognitive, motor and verbal development which is not optimal. In the future, stunted children have a higher risk of obesity and other diseases. Apart from that, children's learning capacity and performance as well as productivity and work capacity are also not optimal. The aim of this Community Service is to increase community knowledge (Posyandu cadres, mothers of toddlers, mothers of children under five) in using Moringa leaves as an alternative measure to prevent stunting. There were 40 activity participants consisting of posyandu cadres, pregnant women and toddler mothers. The activity method is a lecture followed by questions and answers, a simulation of the use of Moringa leaves, distribution of Moringa leaf seeds. The results of the activity obtained an increase in the knowledge of cadres, the majority of pregnant women and mothers of toddlers had sufficient knowledge of 60% and 40% had good knowledge. Implementation of Community Service Activities is able to increase the knowledge of cadres, pregnant women and mothers of toddlers regarding stunting and the use of Moringa leaves as an alternative measure to prevent stunting.
