Abstract

Creative thinking is a high-level ability of students in mathematics. The purpose of this study is to find out more about the End of Semester Assessment (PAS) questions there are questions that refer to HOTS, analyze the assessment of students' understanding in low grades in solving HOTS-based problems, and analyze the influence of students in solving HOTS questions on low grade students, by analyzing HOTS questions on the End of Odd Semester Assessment of low grade students, namely in grade 3. This research uses Descriptive Qualitative methods. The results of the study From a total of 128 thematic questions, while the HOTS questions on the PAS were 31 questions. With a percentage of 24.2%, so that 91 questions are Low Order Thinking Skill (LOTS) based questions. While the analysis of the results of grade III students in solving High Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) questions on odd Semester Final Assessment (PAS), namely with a percentage of 59.1%.
