Abstract

The management of B3 waste must be conducted effectively before disposal into the environment to prevent environmental hazards and threats to human health. The objective of this internship is to identify B3 waste and assess its management in compliance with prevailing regulations. Data collection methods include both primary and secondary data. Primary data is gathered through observation, interviews, and documentation, while secondary data is obtained from legislative regulations, company profiles, and B3 waste data for the of PT. X. The result of identifying the more dominant type of hazardous waste B3 at PT. X of used Oil B3 waste out of the total B3 waste entering the TPS. The management of B3 waste at PT. X includes collection, storage, and transportation. All B3 waste is entirely handed over to third parties for processing/utilization. All processes of B3 waste management at PT. X are technically in accordance with the applicable hazardous waste regulations.

Abstract

Water is one of the most important sources of life for all living things on earth, however, not all people have the ability to treat water, especially at PDAM Way Sekampung in the service area of Banyumas District, so this practical work is carried out with the aim of finding out how much clean water needs are needed to meet the needs of PDAM Way Sekampung in the Banyumas District Service Area for the next 20 years with the research methods used Namely by collecting primary and secondary data, then the population projection calculation for the next 20 years is carried out using 3 methods, namely the arithmetic method, the geometric method, and the least square method. The need for clean water that is calculated is domestic needs, non-domestic needs, and water loss. The results of the projection of the amount of clean water needs in Banyumas District in the next 20 years were obtained in total of 23.21 liters/second with domestic water needs of 16.0 liters/second, non-domestic water needs of 7.20 liters/second. Based on data from PDAM Way Sekampung the total installed capacity is currently 60 liters/second. So that in 2045 the current installed capacity will still be sufficient for the next 20 years.

Abstract

The Domestic Wastewater Treatment Plant (IPAL) plays a crucial role in maintaining environmental quality, especially within industrial operation areas. This study aims to evaluate the domestic wastewater treatment system at the Administration Building of PT.X. The research method includes direct observation, document analysis, and laboratory testing of water quality parameters such as BOD, COD, TSS, pH, and oil & grease content. The IPAL system combines anaerobic and aerobic processes, supported by an activated carbon filtration stage. The evaluation results indicate that the treatment system effectively reduces key pollutants to levels that comply with the quality standards set by the Indonesian Ministry of Environment and Forestry Regulation No. 68 of 2016. The achieved treatment efficiency demonstrates the system's success in managing domestic wastewater in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner.

Abstract

Pengelolaan limbah padat organik merupakan tantangan utama dalam industri agrikultur. PT.X, sebagai salah satu produsen nanas terbesar di Indonesia, menghasilkan limbah organik seperti kulit, batang, daun, dan kotoran ternak dalam jumlah besar. Perusahaan menerapkan pendekatan ekonomi sirkular melalui pengomposan aerobik yang terintegrasi untuk meminimalkan limbah, mengurangi emisi gas rumah kaca, dan menghasilkan produk bernilai ekonomi. Metode penelitian dilakukan secara deskriptif dengan observasi langsung terhadap sistem pengelolaan limbah, studi literatur internal perusahaan, serta dokumentasi teknis di fasilitas Compost Plant. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses pengomposan melalui tahapan pemilahan, pencacahan, pencampuran dengan bioaktivator, dan pengolahan menggunakan teknologi windrow composting, vermicomposting, biochar, serta Continuous Flow Technology (CFT) mampu mengubah limbah organik menjadi kompos dalam bentuk bulky, pellet, dan premium. Produk kompos tersebut digunakan kembali di perkebunan untuk menggantikan pupuk kimia, sehingga menciptakan sistem tertutup yang berkelanjutan. Penerapan ekonomi sirkular di PT.X terbukti efektif dalam mendukung efisiensi sumber daya, memberikan nilai ekonomi baru, serta mengurangi dampak lingkungan dari limbah organik.
