Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of Grade IV students in Phase B at SD Negeri 005 Barong Tongkok through the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on the topic of the Church Thanksgiving Prayer. The background of this research is the low student achievement in this subject, which is attributed to the lack of active student engagement during learning activities. The PBL model was chosen because it encourages students to think critically, collaborate, and find solutions to real-life problems that are relevant to their daily experiences. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. Data were collected through observation, learning outcome tests, and documentation. The results of the study showed that applying the PBL model can improve students' learning outcomes in terms of conceptual understanding, participation in discussions, and the ability to express the meaning of thanksgiving prayer contextually. Therefore, the PBL model is proven to be effective in enhancing student learning outcomes on the Church Thanksgiving Prayer material.

Abstract

The management of B3 waste must be conducted effectively before disposal into the environment to prevent environmental hazards and threats to human health. The objective of this internship is to identify B3 waste and assess its management in compliance with prevailing regulations. Data collection methods include both primary and secondary data. Primary data is gathered through observation, interviews, and documentation, while secondary data is obtained from legislative regulations, company profiles, and B3 waste data for the of PT. X. The result of identifying the more dominant type of hazardous waste B3 at PT. X of used Oil B3 waste out of the total B3 waste entering the TPS. The management of B3 waste at PT. X includes collection, storage, and transportation. All B3 waste is entirely handed over to third parties for processing/utilization. All processes of B3 waste management at PT. X are technically in accordance with the applicable hazardous waste regulations.

Abstract

Water is one of the most important sources of life for all living things on earth, however, not all people have the ability to treat water, especially at PDAM Way Sekampung in the service area of Banyumas District, so this practical work is carried out with the aim of finding out how much clean water needs are needed to meet the needs of PDAM Way Sekampung in the Banyumas District Service Area for the next 20 years with the research methods used Namely by collecting primary and secondary data, then the population projection calculation for the next 20 years is carried out using 3 methods, namely the arithmetic method, the geometric method, and the least square method. The need for clean water that is calculated is domestic needs, non-domestic needs, and water loss. The results of the projection of the amount of clean water needs in Banyumas District in the next 20 years were obtained in total of 23.21 liters/second with domestic water needs of 16.0 liters/second, non-domestic water needs of 7.20 liters/second. Based on data from PDAM Way Sekampung the total installed capacity is currently 60 liters/second. So that in 2045 the current installed capacity will still be sufficient for the next 20 years.

Abstract

This internship report discusses the wastewater treatment system at Sedimentation Pond I (KPLI) using the Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) method at PT X, Tarahan Port Unit. The objective is toanalyze the wastewater treatment process to meet the Environmental Quality Standards (BML) as regulatedin Lampung Province Regional Regulation No. 11 of 2012. The WWTP process includes several stages,from initial sedimentation in KPL, chemical processes (coagulation, flocculation, and filtration), tomonitoring key water quality parameters such as pH, TSS, Fe, and Mn. Results show that the WWTP systemis highly efficient in reducing pollutants and maintaining wastewater quality to prevent environmentalcontamination. Despite challenges such as high operational costs and sludge accumulation, the system isproven to be effective in supporting environmental sustainability in the mining port area.

Abstract

Pengelolaan limbah padat organik merupakan tantangan utama dalam industri agrikultur. PT.X, sebagai salah satu produsen nanas terbesar di Indonesia, menghasilkan limbah organik seperti kulit, batang, daun, dan kotoran ternak dalam jumlah besar. Perusahaan menerapkan pendekatan ekonomi sirkular melalui pengomposan aerobik yang terintegrasi untuk meminimalkan limbah, mengurangi emisi gas rumah kaca, dan menghasilkan produk bernilai ekonomi. Metode penelitian dilakukan secara deskriptif dengan observasi langsung terhadap sistem pengelolaan limbah, studi literatur internal perusahaan, serta dokumentasi teknis di fasilitas Compost Plant. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses pengomposan melalui tahapan pemilahan, pencacahan, pencampuran dengan bioaktivator, dan pengolahan menggunakan teknologi windrow composting, vermicomposting, biochar, serta Continuous Flow Technology (CFT) mampu mengubah limbah organik menjadi kompos dalam bentuk bulky, pellet, dan premium. Produk kompos tersebut digunakan kembali di perkebunan untuk menggantikan pupuk kimia, sehingga menciptakan sistem tertutup yang berkelanjutan. Penerapan ekonomi sirkular di PT.X terbukti efektif dalam mendukung efisiensi sumber daya, memberikan nilai ekonomi baru, serta mengurangi dampak lingkungan dari limbah organik.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di Pekon Tanjung Agung, Kecamatan Kota Agung Barat, Kabupaten Tanggamus dengan tujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam mengelola sampah organik melalui pembuatan kompos. Permasalahan utama yang ditemukan adalah rendahnya pemahaman dan kebiasaan memilah sampah rumah tangga sehingga sampah organik kerap dibakar atau dibuang tanpa pengolahan, yang berdampak pada pencemaran lingkungan. Metode kegiatan meliputi observasi, wawancara, sosialisasi, dan demonstrasi langsung pembuatan kompos menggunakan metode komposter sederhana dengan aktivator EM4. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman masyarakat terkait pengomposan, terlihat dari antusiasme warga serta kemampuan peserta menjelaskan ulang tahapan pembuatan kompos. Masyarakat juga mulai berinisiatif untuk menerapkan praktik pengomposan di rumah secara mandiri. Kegiatan ini diharapkan menjadi langkah awal dalam mewujudkan pengelolaan sampah berkelanjutan serta menciptakan lingkungan pekon yang lebih bersih dan sehat.
