Abstract

Air circulation needed to meet comfort standards in classrooms with artificial cooling systems (Air Conditioning) to achieve thermal comfort (Thermal comport), Thermal comfort is one aspect that must be considered when designing a classroom. because at the time of learning there is an accumulation of heat and humidity of the air that will make the room uncomfortable. This research focuses on using the Simulation Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) method in the classrooms of Nusa Putra Sukabumi University. Simulation using Flovent 10.1 software, the simulated room is a B3D classroom on the 3rd floor of building B of Nusa Putra University which measures 10.15 m x 4.8 m x 3.25 m. The main purpose of this study is to find out the influence of inlet temperature on artificial cooling systems. Through simulation can predict efficiently and effectively setting the temperature inlet of the most optimal artificial cooling system. In the simulation conducted 5 variations, the result is the most ineffective temperature in variation 1, variation 2 and variation 3 at room temperature 16.32 °C – 20.06 °C, belongs to the category of too cold which means the room is uncomfortable. While the room with inlet temperature variation 4 and variation 5 temperature between 21.34 °C – 22.59 °C belongs to the category of comfortable cool based on the thermal comfort standard SNI 03-6572-2001.

Abstract

The study of the effect of the weight fraction of the filler on the PANi/n-SiO2 composite was carried out in a high salinity medium. Nanosilica (n-SiO2) was synthesized from amorphous silica coprecipitation of Bancar Tuban natural sand using calcination method at 900oC for 6 hours. The synthesized nanosilica was mixed with paint using a variation of filler weight 0.25; 0.5; and 0.75 grams, then coated on SS304 steel. Corrosion experiments consist of two methods, namely polarization to determine the corrosion rate and immersion to identify corrosion products. Abstract

Pembangkit listrik tenaga uap (PLTU) merupakan salah satu perusahaan yang memiliki peran vital dalam memenuhi kebutuhan listrik nasional yang digunakan dalam berbagai sektor seperti industri, komersial bahkan rumah tangga. Condensate Makeup Pump (CMP) ialah salah satu komponen dalam pembangkit listrik yang berfungsi untuk memasok air demin atau sebagai transfer pump dari makeup water tank kedalam sistem kondensat untuk menggantikan atau mengembalikan kehilangan air karena penguapan. Pada studi ini dilakukan analisis numerik (CFD) untuk memastikan CMP bekerja dengan baik dan mengetahui karakteristik CMP pada saat kondisi operasionalnya. Variasi debit air dibatasi dalam rentang 0m^3/s hingga 0,05m3 /s. Dengan kondisi full open valve dan debit air sebesar 0,0276m^3/s, hasil yang diperoleh adalah karakteristik Q-H dengan nilai head sebesar 137,5m; daya hidrolis sebesar 36496,81watt; dan efisiensi sebesar 57,19%. Seiring penambahan debit air, maka nilai head akan semakin menurun, sedangkan daya hidrolis dan efisiensi semakin meningkat hingga mencapai titik stall dengan nilai daya hidrolis sebesar 48656watt pada kondisi debit 0,0471m^3/s dan efisiensi sebesar 61,26% pada kondisi debit 0,0388m^3/s lalu mengalami penurunan setelahnya.

Abstract

The Ar Rahman Mosque is a newly built mosque, so the facilities inside are still inadequate. One of the essential facilities that is urgently needed but not yet available is a cabinet for storing Qur'ans, Islamic books, prayer garments (mukena), and sarongs. The construction of this cabinet is very important and urgent because it not only serves as a storage space but also as an effort to enhance cleanliness, neatness, and comfort within the mosque. The construction process of the mosque cabinet includes designing, creating patterns on plywood, cutting plywood according to the patterns, assembly, and painting. The resulting cabinet measures 800 mm in length, 350 mm in width, and 1200 mm in height. The completed cabinet has successfully addressed the mosque's storage issues for Qur'ans, Islamic books, sarongs, and prayer garments, making the mosque space tidier and providing convenience and comfort for the congregation in utilizing it.
