Abstract

The scholars have determined that Islamic law has an eternal maqashid (goal) to preserve human intelligence, offspring, property, religion and self-esteem, because Islam never teaches enmity or hatred. This is where the term "religion that rahmatan lil alamin" is used to describe Islam. The research aims to complement existing studies and make Universal Islam an implementation of Rahmatan Lil 'Alamin. This research was carried out using a qualitative approach, and the researcher functioned as a key instrument, data collection methods were used qualitatively, data analysis was carried out inductively. Universal Islam contains teachings about Humanity (Al-Ihtimam Al-Insaniyah), Broad/Global Insight (Al-Ilmiah Al-Wasi'ah), High Integrity (Al-Nazaahah Al-Aliyah), Constantity and Flexibility (As-Tsawabit and Al —Mutaghayirat, Tolerance and Facilitation (Al-Samahah and Al-Taisir). Islam is universal and comprehensive, must be implemented in all dimensions of human life, including social and cultural life

Abstract

This study aims to preserve the local culture of Indonesian society and serves as an educational medium to introduce the history of Islamic development to future generations. Moreover, amidst various opinions regarding the prohibition of wayang, this research reaffirms that Wali Songo also used wayang as a medium to spread Islam in Indonesia. This qualitative study employs in-depth interviews with wayang figures, as well as continuous observation and analysis to obtain valid data. The results of the study reveal that Wayang Tengul, beyond merely serving as a medium for introducing and educating people about the history of Islamic development in Indonesia, also plays a crucial and multifaceted role in fostering, nurturing, and maintaining a sense of religious moderation and tolerance among the diverse population of Bojonegoro Regency. This art form not only preserves historical narratives but also acts as a dynamic tool in promoting social cohesion and understanding within the community. This study contributes to enhancing knowledge literacy about local culture and developing insights into religious moderation in Indonesia. Through a deeper understanding of Wayang Tengul, it is hoped that this culture can continue to be preserved and appreciated as an essential part of the nation's cultural and historical heritage

Abstract

Allah Subhanallaahu wata’ala Allah SWT encourages reading the Qur'an slowly and with proper articulation (tartil), as stated in Surah Al-Muzzammil verse 4. However, many adolescents are still unable to read the Qur'an correctly and fluently, let alone understand its meaning. The Al-Hidayah method emerges as a practical and accessible approach to learning Qur'anic reading, characterized by the use of color-coded text in each volume. This study aims to describe students’ responses to Qur'anic reading instruction using the Al-Hidayah method. A quantitative approach with descriptive analysis was employed, utilizing questionnaires distributed via Google Form to 30 randomly selected students from SMPN 1 Trucuk Bojonegoro. The findings show that 73% of students responded very positively and 27% positively toward the use of the Al-Hidayah method. These results indicate the method's effectiveness based on the following indicators: 1) it is easy to understand and practice, 2) includes clear reading guidelines, 3) is practical to use, and 4) provides a highly positive learning experience. However, in practice, consistent training is still needed, particularly in mastering the nahawand recitation rhythm, to achieve optimal results.
