Abstract

PT. "X" is an injection molding company. Machine maintenance and repair are very influential on a stable production rate. The purpose of the research is to find the root cause of the problem of plastic molding machine damage and find the right accurate solution, and also which parts are prioritized for repair using the RCA and FMEA methods. The Results of the RCA method analysis for injection molding machine maintenance. Four priority parts experience mechanical part wear. The root cause of the problem is the first part pin and bushing experience wear due to lack of lubrication due to lack of visual checking maintenance. The second part of the platen surface has wear due to uneven molding, and also by checking the mold if the mold material is harder, the platen will lose or the platen surface has dented. The third part of the Mold Adjust Pitch Tie Bar and Pitch Gear experiences wear and tear due to the nut thread wear due to the high press of the thread that becomes a fulcrum. The fourth part of the Adjustable Nut, namely the Locking Nut, does not function because the locking nut is not balanced and not parallel, causing flashing. For the analysis of the FMEA method of injection molding machine maintenance based on the RPN value, the order of priority parts for preventive maintenance is Pin and bushing, Platen surface, Mold Adjust Pitch Tie Bar and Pitch Gear, and Adjustable Nut.

Abstract

The main problem that occurs in the upstream area of the Brantas watershed is the high level of erosion due to ecologically incorrect horticultural farming models and methods. This condition causes vulnerability for society in facing climate change. The aim of this service activity is to determine the level of vulnerability to risks due to climate change in Tulungrejo and Sumber Brantas. This activity carried out in two villages, Tulungrejo and Sumer Brantas in February 2021. Three main activities were carried out, namely Focus Group Discussion (FGD), climate change risk analysis using Analisa 4 Jendela method, and climate change risk analysis using 5W+1H. Tulungrejo and Sumber Brantas are classified as areas that have a mild to moderate risk level in the agricultural sector. The threat of high rainfall causes flooding to become one of the causes of high risk in various strategic areas because it occurs in places that have high vulnerability. Abstract

PT. XYZ merupakan perusahaan manufaktur pengelasan baja. Salah satu produknya yaitu cerobong pembuangan gas (ducting) berbahan baja karbon rendah Structural Steel (SS400). Dalam proses produksi sering terindikasi cacat pengelasan sehingga memerlukan pengerjaan ulang karena terindikasi cacat. Jika sebuah ducting mengalami retak dan bocor maka struktur ducting akan roboh dan penyaluran gas akan bocor dan tidak tersalurkan dengan baik. Maka tujuan penelitian ini yaitu identifikasi jenis cacat pengelasan dan upaya penanggulangannya dengan menggunakan metode NDT Penetrant dan metode Statistical Quality Control (SQC) untuk mencari faktor penyebab dan persentase kecacatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya cacat pengelasan porosity, undercut dan crack. Cacat paling dominan yaitu porosity dengan luasan cacat 825 mm persentase (2,23%), undercut 455 mm (1,23%) dan crack 155 mm (0,42%). Hasil analisis control chart pada SQC bahwa dari ketiga cacat tidak adanya penyimpangan keluar dari batas kontrol yang di tetapkan sehingga jumlah cacat masih dalam kendali dan perusahaan dapat mempertahankannya.
