Abstract

ABSTRAKNaftalena dan fenantrena merupakan jenis senyawa PAH termasuk dalam kelompok polutan berbahaya karena sifatnya beracun, karsinogenik, mutagenik terhadap manusia dan organisme lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsentrasi naftalena dan fenantrena dalam sedimen laut pantai Galesong. Penelitian ini melalui beberapa tahap yaitu tahap pengambilan sampel, preparasi sampel, ekstraksi, fraksinasi, serta pengukuran konsentrasi naftalena dan fenantrena dalam sampel menggunakan HPLC. Hasil fraksinasi diperoleh berupa padatan berwarna kuning pucat. Berdasarkan penentuan konsentrasi naftalena dan fenantrena, kromatogram yang diperoleh di tiga titik stasiun yakni stasiun TG1, TG2, dan TG3 menunjukkan bahwa hasil kromatogram senyawa naftalena dan fenantrena tidak ditemukan dalam sampel sedimen pantai Galesong Kabupaten Takalar. Dari hasil analisis tidak ditemukan senyawa naftalena dan fenantrena pada sedimen.Kata Kunci: Naftalena, Fenantrena, Sedimen, Pantai GalesongABSTRACTNaphthalene and phenanthrene are PAH compounds that are classified as hazardous pollutants because they are toxic, carcinogenic, and mutagenic to humans and other organisms. This study aimed to determine the concentration of naphthalene and phenanthrene in the marine sediments of the Galesong Beach. This study went through several stages, including sampling, sample preparation, extraction, fractionation, and measurement of naphthalene and phenanthrene concentrations in the sample using HPLC. The fractionation result obtained was a pale yellow solid.  Based on the determination of naphthalene and phenanthrene concentrations, chromatograms obtained at three station points, namely stations TG1, TG2, and TG3, showed that the chromatogram results of naphthalene and phenanthrene compounds were not found in the Galesong beach sediment samples, Takalar Regency. The results of the analysis showed that no naphthalene and phenanthrene compounds were found.Keywords: Naphtalene, Phenanthrene, Sediment, Galesong Beach
