Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to describe the understanding of the Catholic Young People's group about the eucharist, the Catholic Youth's appreciation and the efforts that need to be made to increase the Catholic Young People's understanding and appreciation of the Eucharist. The type of research used is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques were carried out in three ways, namely: Observation, Interview and Documentation Study. In this study, the research actors and informants were selected by the authors using a purposive procedure, namely the determination of informants by selecting key people who match the criteria and research problems. The conclusion of this study consists of three parts. First: Young Catholics in the Parish of Santa Ursula Watutumou already understand quite well about the Eucharist as the source and peak of the Christian faith, where in the Eucharist a direct encounter with God occurs through the event of transubstantiation. Second: OMK in Santa Ursula Watutumou Parish is able to appreciate the meaning of the Eucharist as an important celebration in the Church, so that because of the basis of the Eucharist itself, OMK seeks to realize the Eucharist as a necessity, not just a meaningless routine, and tries to be actively involved by increasing the role of the Eucharist. and OMK in the celebration of the Eucharist. Third: Efforts that can be made to increase understanding and appreciation of OMK in Santa Ursula Watutumou Parish, among others by participating in worship, diligently attending Sunday Mass and daily Mass and being actively involved in them, following the example of parents who provide examples and motivation in interpreting the Eucharist, and participating in faith deepening activities such as socialization and catechesis on the Eucharist.

Abstract

In improving teacher performance to be better and optimal, to create quality and useful human resources for the future of the nation. One of the factors supporting the improvement of teacher performance is salary. Salary is a reward for services or work. But at this time the salary received by honorary teachers is still very less. This study aims to determine the effect of salary on the performance of honorary teachers. This research was conducted in May 2023 at the Tomohon YPK-KM school. The respondents in this study were honorary teachers who were at the YPK-KM school representing Tomohon. The research method used is quantitative. The sampling technique uses the Slovin technique. The sample studied amounted to 126 teachers. The research instrument used was a questionnaire (questionnaire) with alternative answers Strongly Agree (4), Agree (3), Disagree (2), and Disagree (1). This quantitative research uses simple linear regression analysis. The results of the study show that there is an effect of salary on the performance of honorary teachers. This is evidenced by the results of the calculated F value of 14.197 with a significance level of 0.000 <0.005, and a correlation or relationship of 0.321 and a coefficient of determination of 10.3%. Thus there is a very low and significant effect of salary on the performance of honorary teachers. Salary can be said to influence and contribute to improving the performance of honorary teachers at YPK-KM schools representing Tomohon.

Abstract

The problem in this study is about the low intensity of student in the WhatsApp group. This affects the need for student affiliation. Many students who rarely open messages in the WhatsApp group. The purpose of this study was to determine the intensity of WhatsApp usage among students at STP Don Bosco Tomohon and to determine the effect of the group. This study used a quantitative method, with 100 students as a population and sample of 80 students. In the calculation, the researcher uses the slovin formula. The instrument used is a questionnaire. Respondents only put a checkmark on the answer they considered correct. Then the researcher will manage the collected data using the IBM SPSS 25 for windows application. Hypothesis Testing 1, the use of the WhatsApp communication medium at STP Don Bosco Tomohon is very good. Hypothesis 2, the need for student affiliation at STP Don Bosco Tomohon is high. The use of the WhatsApp communication medium has quite a 35% influence on the affiliation needs of STP Don Bosco Tomohon students, although the effect is less strong (low) and 65% is influenced by other factors. The intensity of the use of communication media Whatsapp at STP Don Bosco Tomohon is very good, with an R Count coefficient of 0.82, and an R Count coefficient on Student Affiliation Needs in the good category, with a value of 0.73. From the results of this study, based on the results of the correlation analysis that the WhatsApp communication media has a less strong and significant effect on the affiliate needs of STP Don Bosco Tomohon students.

Abstract

Learning is a process in which individuals acquire new knowledge, skills, values, or attitudes through experience, teaching, or training. Catholic Religious Education (PAK) is considered a means of increasing religious understanding and forming students' social attitudes towards their surrounding environment, including parents, friends and teachers at school. This research aims to explore the influence of PAK Learning on Changes in Attitudes of Class V and VI Students at St. Catholic 2 Elementary School. Joseph Woloan. The research population consisted of 61 students in grades V and VI who were active members of the school. A sample of 53 students was determined using the Slovin formula to produce representative generalizations. The main instrument used was a questionnaire with 30 statements, distributed directly to the selected sample. The collected data was analyzed using the IBM SPSS 25 for Windows application. The research results show that PAK learning has a significant influence in shaping students' attitudes, with a contribution of 81% to the observed attitude changes. This shows that this learning program plays an important role in shaping and directing students' attitudes in accordance with the values ​​taught.

Abstract

This study aims to: describe (1) item analysis competency and (2) professionalism of Catholic high school/vocational high school teachers in Manado City; (3) determine how big the correlation/relationship is between item analysis competency and the professionalism of Catholic high school/vocational high school teachers in Manado City; (4) describe efforts to improve item analysis competency as part of the professionalism of Catholic high school/vocational high school teachers in Manado City. The method used is a mix method. Obtaining descriptive data related to research objectives (1), (2) and (4) used qualitative methods; continued with the application of quantitative methods to obtain data related to research objectives (3). The data sources in this study were the principals and teachers of Catholic high schools/vocational high schools in Manado City totaling 121 people with 93 samples. The data collection technique for the qualitative method used interview techniques as well as observation and documentation; determining the source of interview data used purposive sampling. The results of the qualitative study of item analysis competency showed that some teachers knew and were able to make item analysis, but there were also those who did not understand and did not apply it. Quantitative results on how big the correlation of item analysis competency with teacher professionalism with a sample of 93 people from 121 populations showed significant results below 0.05, so it is included in the very good category. The percentage of variable X (item analysis competency) is 85% and variable Y (teacher professionalism) is 82%. The influence of X on Y is: 0.432; this result can be interpreted that the correlation of item analysis competency with teacher professionalism is in the moderate relationship category. This means that there are still other factors whose relationship category with Y is lower or higher, but these factors were not examined in this study.

Abstract

Keterlibatan orang muda Katolik adalah salah satu aspek penting dalam kehidupan gereja karena berperan dalam mendukung pertumbuhan dan penghayatan iman kaum muda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh keterlibatan Orang Muda Katolik terhadap penghayatan iman di paroki St. Petrus Warembungan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penyebaran kuesioner skala likert yang terdiri atas 20 pertanyaan untuk mengukur seberapa besar pengaruh keterlibatan orang muda Katolik terhadap penghayatan iman di paroki St. Petrus Warembungan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan keterlibatan OMK terhadap penghayatan iman mereka. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin aktif OMK dalam kegiatan paroki maka semakin tinggi pula penghayatan iman mereka. Dengan adanya penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi bagi pengembangan kajian pastoral kaum muda serta dapat menjadi bahan evaluasi bagi paroki dalam meningkatkan pendampingan dan keterlibatan orang muda Katolik dalam gereja.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh kegiatan Orang Muda Katolik terhadap pendidikan karakter kaum muda di Stasi Kinilow. Dalam kehidupan menggereja, kegiatan OMK memiliki pengaruh strategis sebagai wadah pembinaan iman dan pembentukan karakter kaum muda melalui berbagai kegiatan, seperti pembinaan rohani, pertemuan rutin, pendalaman iman, pelayanan sosial, serta keterlibatan dalam kegiatan liturgi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Data diperoleh melalui penyebaran kuesioner skala Likert kepada kaum muda yang terlibat aktif dalam kegiatan OMK, yang terdiri dari 20 pernyataan untuk mengukur sejauh mana kegiatan OMK berpengaruh terhadap pembentukan karakter kaum muda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan OMK memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap pendidikan karakter kaum muda. Analisis data memperlihatkan bahwa semakin aktif keterlibatan kaum muda dalam kegiatan OMK, semakin berkembang nilai-nilai karakter Kristiani seperti tanggung jawab, disiplin, kepedulian sosial, dan sikap iman. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa kegiatan OMK sangat berpengaruh dalam pembinaan karakter dan iman kaum muda di Stasi Kinilow.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan media sosial terhadap perkembangan pendidikan peserta didik di SMP Negeri 4 Lembo Raya, Kabupaten Morowali Utara. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 80 peserta didik SMP Negeri 4 Lembo Raya. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penyebaran angket, sedangkan analisis data menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson dan regresi linear sederhana yang diolah dengan bantuan perangkat lunak SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media sosial memiliki hubungan yang bersifat negatif terhadap perkembangan pendidikan peserta didik, namun tingkat hubungan tersebut tergolong lemah dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar r = -0,227 dan tidak signifikan secara statistik karena nilai signifikansi p = 0,055. Analisis regresi mengungkapkan bahwa penggunaan media sosial hanya memberikan kontribusi sebesar 5,2% terhadap perkembangan pendidikan peserta didik, sedangkan 94,8% sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain di luar variabel yang diteliti. Hasil uji signifikansi memperlihatkan bahwa penggunaan media sosial tidak memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap perkembangan pendidikan peserta didik di SMP Negeri 4 Lembo Raya. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media sosial bukan merupakan faktor dominan yang memengaruhi perkembangan pendidikan peserta didik. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan perhatian yang lebih besar terhadap faktor-faktor lain yang memiliki pengaruh lebih kuat dalam mendukung perkembangan pendidikan peserta didik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji secara empiris pengaruh pembinaan spiritualitas terhadap tingkat kedisiplinan mahasiswa di Sekolah Tinggi Pastoral Don Bosco Tomohon. Fokus utama kajian ini didasari oleh pentingnya pembentukan karakter bagi calon katekis dan guru agama melalui integrasi nilai-nilai rohani dalam perilaku harian. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain survei korelasional terhadap 80 mahasiswa sebagai responden. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner skala Likert dan dianalisis menggunakan teknik korelasi Product Moment Pearson dengan bantuan perangkat lunak SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,761 dengan tingkat signifikansi 0,000 (p < 0,05), yang mengindikasikan adanya hubungan positif yang kuat dan signifikan antara kedua variabel. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa pembinaan spiritualitas yang intensif, seperti doa dan rekoleksi, berperan sebagai kendali internal (internal locus of control) yang secara langsung meningkatkan kedisiplinan mahasiswa. Simpulan penelitian menegaskan bahwa disiplin yang autentik lahir dari kematangan spiritual, sehingga institusi pendidikan disarankan untuk terus mengoptimalkan pendekatan pastoral guna membentuk integritas karakter mahasiswa.
