Abstract

Sampah merupakan material-material buangan yang sudah tidak berguna baik dalam ruang lingkup rumah tangga maupun lingkungan masyarakat. Saat ini negara kita sudah mulai peduli dan peka terhadap isu lingkungan, sudah banyak komunitas-komunitas yang bergerak di bidang pengelolaan sampah di lingkungan sosial. Dalam hal ini, penulis selaku anak muda yang turut serta melek akan peduli isu lingkungan pun ikut berkontribusi untuk masyarakat kelurahan Brandan Barat dalam upaya program pengelolaan sampah. Fokus masalah pada penelitian ini adalah terkait tindakan yang belum benar dari warga / masyarakat desa terhadap pengelolaan sampah di kelurahan Brandan Barat, masih banyaknya kebiasaan membuang sampah sembarangan dan tidak bisa memilah jenis-jenis sampah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengedukasi masyarakat yang nantinya diharapkan akan memiliki luaran yakni sampah-sampah yang ada di desa, kelurahan Brandan Barat akan menjadi lebih terkelola dengan baik. Teknik penelitian yang dilakukan adalah survei lapangan, sharing session yang melibatkan kami selaku mahasiswa pengabdian dan seluruh partisipan yang mencakup masyarakat dan perangkat desa. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah kepeduliaan masyarakat terkait sampah mulai meningkat dan upaya pemberdayaan desa yakni desa sehat dan bersih dapat di implementasikan dengan baik dan lingkungan desa sudah diberikan fasilitas tempat sampah atas gotong royong mahasiswa dengan masyarakat setempat.

Abstract

This article aims to find out the influence of group guidance services in increasing the self-confidence of madrasah students through group discussion techniques. This research uses the quantitative research method OneGroup Pretest-Posttest Design Experiment. In the validity and reliability test of the 30 statement items in the form of a selfconfidence scale created by the researcher, there were 24 statement items that were valid for use with the results being said to be valid if the calculated r was > from r table with the r table value at the 5% significance level being 0.2787. In the reliability test, Cronbrach alpha data was obtained with a Cronbroach Alpha value greater than 0.05 (0.759 > 0.05). The population in this study were all class VIII students of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Islamiyah Gunting Saga with a total of 60 students with a sample of 10 students, all of whom had a low sense of self-confidence and were participants in this research. In sampling, the researcher used a purposive sampling technique, namely a sample selection method with predetermined criteria, which was the chosen sampling strategy. Data analysis was carried out using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test, and the results showed that the significance value was asymp. Sig(2-tailed) ≤ of 0.05, namely 0.005. Based on research that has been conducted, the self-confidence of class VIII students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Islamiyah Gunting Saga can be increased through group guidance services using discussion techniques which have shown significant results.

Abstract

School management is a school management in accordance with the vision and mission that has been determined. School management has a very important role in improving the quality and achievement of schools, so this study aims to: 1) find out the implementation of school management carried out; 2) knowing the role of school management in improving school quality and achievement; 3) knowing the problems faced by school management in improving school quality and achievement. Success in education can be measured from various aspects. Starting from the quality of students, the quality of educators, the atmosphere of the school environment, to the school administration system. However, the main factor that most influences the dynamics of education in schools is the leader who is responsible for the running of the education sector, in this case the principal. The principal is a manager who manages all educational activities in the school. Starting from academic activities, non-academic activities, even to professional guidance for educators. The professionalism of a teacher in teaching does not only depend on the principal, but the role of the principal in guiding teacher professionalism cannot be underestimated. The principal as the leader must be responsible for the professionalism of teachers so that teaching and learning activities in schools can run smoothly. This paper is the result of a research conducted by the author to observe the role of principal management in improving teacher professionalism at MTS Ali Imran.
