<![CDATA[Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Peran Kepolisian Resor (Polres) Kabupaten Dompu Dalam Menangkal Penyebaran Paham Radilaklisme Berdasarkan Hukum Positif Di Indonesia, dan mengetahui Kendala Yang Di Hadapi Oleh Aparat Kepolisian Resor (Polres) Kabupaten Dompu Dalam Upaya Menangkal Penyebaran Paham Radikalisme. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Yuridis-Empiris yang berfungsi untuk melihat hukum dan bagaimana bekerjanya hukum di lingkungan masyarakat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa peran kepolisian dalam menangkal penyebaran paham radikalisme berkaitan langsung dengan tujuan kepolisian sebagaimana diatur dalam ketentuan Pasal 4 Undang-Undang Nomor 2 Tahun 2002 tentang Kepolisian RI yaitu adalah bertujuan untuk mewujudkan keamanan dalam negeri, Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut kepolisian harus mengutamakan tindakan pencegahan sebagaimana ditentukan dalam Pasal 19 Ayat (2) Undang-Undang Nomor 2 tahun 2002 Tentang Kepolisian Negara Republik Indonesia. kendala yang dihadapi kepolisian terkait dengan penangkalan penyebaran paham radikalisme terdiri dari 2 (dua) faktor, yaitu factor Internal berasal dari kepolisian sendiri berupa kurangnya personel kepolisian yang ditempatkan di suatu wilayah dan kurangnya Sumber Daya Manusia dan faktor eksternal terkait dengan karakteristik kerawanan daerah yang berbeda-beda, faktor geografis yang sulit ditembus, kurangnya kepedulian masyarakat terhadap lingkungannya sehingga seringkali penganut paham radikalisme sangat mudah membaur dengan masyarakat Kata Kunci: Peran Kepolisian, Paham Radikalisme, Kabupaten Dompu The type of research used is juridical-empirical law research. Primary data were obtained from informants/respondents, namely the Head of Binmas Police of Dompu and the Chairperson of the Usman Bin Affan Islamic Boarding School Foundation, Dompu Regency, while secondary data was obtained from several laws and regulations related to this research. The effort to infiltrate Islamic boarding schools by radical teachings requires the active role of the police, in this case the Dompu District Police takes persuasive steps such as providing anti-radicalism counseling, providing compensation to Islamic boarding schools and taking an emotional approach to teachers and students. In an effort to prevent the spread of radicalism, there are also obstacles faced by the Dompu District Police, including internal constraints in the form of a lack of police officers to carry out radicalism eradication tasks and external obstacles in the form of a lack of human resources, especially in the field of electronic information. The conclusion of this study is that the role of the police in preventing the spread of radicalism is directly related to the objectives of the police as regulated in the provisions of Article 4 of Law Number 2 of 2002 concerning the Indonesian Police, namely to realize domestic security, but in practice the police must prioritize preventive measures. The role of the police is also inseparable from obstacles, including the inadequate number of police personnel and human resources that still need to be improved in order to balance the system built by the proponents of radicalism. Suggestions in this study are for police officers to take persuasive action against perpetrators of spreading radicalism who have not actually committed acts of terrorism and to be more effective in preventing the spread of radicalism, the capacity and quality of police officers in charge of terrorism radicalism should be improved. ]]>
