Abstract

This research aims to analyze the impact of village development on sustainable employment in West Seram District, focusing on strategies implemented to improve the local economy and reduce community dependence on seasonal sectors. A qualitative approach with a case study method was used in this research, involving in-depth interviews with key stakeholders, such as village heads, local business actors, and village communities. In addition, secondary data from government reports and academic literature were used to enrich the analysis. The results show that village development integrated with entrepreneurial skills development and local resource management can create more stable and sustainable employment. However, this study also found several constraints, particularly limited infrastructure and access to technology. These limitations pose a major challenge in achieving sustainable employment in rural areas. The implications of these findings suggest the importance of policies that support community capacity building and sustainable infrastructure investment to facilitate economic growth in villages. This research provides insights for policymakers and village development practitioners in designing more effective strategies for sustainable employment in rural areas.

Abstract

Investment is a financial strategy chosen by individuals to preserve and grow wealth. In recent years, investment activity in Indonesia has increased amid a downward trend in inflation. This reflects a shift in financial behaviour, where inflation is no longer seen solely as a threat but also as a driver for moving from saving to investing. As people become aware of inflation’s impact on purchasing power, they increasingly allocate funds to more profitable investment instruments. This study uses a behavioural finance approach and macroeconomic data from 2019 to 2024 to illustrate the pattern. The analysis shows that declining inflation, along with rising financial literacy, has significantly contributed to investment growth.

Abstract

Introduction: Digital transformation in the agricultural sector has become an urgent need to increase efficiency and productivity, especially in tropical regions that are rich in natural resources but face challenges in adopting technology. Purposed: To analyze the socio-economic factors influencing the adoption of precision agricultural technology by farmers in tropical agro-ecological areas. Research method: A quantitative approach with an explanatory survey design was used in this study, with a sample consisting of crop farmers selected randomly. The independent variables analyzed include age, education, income, land area, access to credit, and participation in farmer groups, while the dependent variable is the level of adoption of precision technology. Results: Logistic regression showed that education, income, access to credit, and participation in farmer groups have a significant impact on the adoption of precision technology. In contrast, land area did not show a significant effect on technology adoption. Access to credit and education had a very strong influence on the adoption decision, followed by income and participation in farmer groups. This study suggests the need for improving access to education, providing adequate financing schemes, and empowering farmer groups to enhance the adoption of precision agricultural technology in tropical areas. Thus, policies supporting precision agriculture technology are expected to improve productivity and sustainability in the region.
