Abstract

The study aimed to determine the effect of various organic fertilizers on growth and yield of several varieties of upland rice, and the response of upland rice varieties to organic fertilizers under the stands of oil palm trees have not produced (TBM). The researches conducted in March until July 2016. This study was a randomized block design factorial trial with two factors and three replications, the first factor was some upland rice variety consist of ; Inpago 8 (V1), Situ Bagendit (V2), and Inpago 9 (V3) and the second factor was the variety of organic fertilizers such as; without organic fertilizer (BO0), compost of oil palm empty fruit bunches (BO1), chicken manure (BO2), Kirinyuh or green manure (BO3). Data were analyzed by ANOVA and a further test of Duncan’s multiple range test (DNMRT) level of 5%. The results showed that the varieties Situ Bagendit gave the best response to organic fertilizer by weight of dry milled grain at 4.6 tonnes/ha in the giving of chicken manure.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of cow urine and cutting length on the growth of guava honey. This study was performed at the experimental farm of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, Pekanbaru from February to May 2019. The research used the completely randomized design (RAL) factorial. The first factor was the concentration of cow urine consisting of 25%, 50%, and 75%. The second factor was the size of the length consisting of 15 cm, 20 cm, and 25 cm. The observed parameters consisted of the day of emerging buds, number of shoots, length of shoots, number of roots, root length, and root volume. The results of the study showed that a combination of cow urine treatment with long cuttings had an unreal effect on all parameters. A single long factor of cuttings gave a noticeable effect on all parameters except for the number of roots. The single factor of cow urine gave an unreal effect to all parameters except the length of the bud. The combination of cow urine concentration was 50% and 75% with a length of 25 cm could increase the growth of honey-water seedlings. Key Words: Cow urine, Cutting length, Growth, Guava honey.

Abstract

This research aims to obtain the proper nutrient concentration and the best nutrient concentration and increase the growth and yield of pakcoy through the floating hydroponic system. The research was conducted in the Experimental Farm of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau from October to November 2019. The research used a non-factorial completely randomized design (CRD), consisting of 5 treatments and 4 replications. The given treatment was the nutrient concentration of AB Mix consisting of 5 levels: AB Mix 1000 ppm, AB Mix 1200 ppm, AB Mix 1400 ppm, AB Mix 1600 ppm, and AB Mix 1800 ppm. The parameters observed were plant height, leaf number, leaf area, root volume, plant fresh weight, and worthy weight consumption. The result showed that all the given treatments did not have significant towards all parameters. The concentration of 1000 ppm is the best concentration of some else, because more efficient, economic and saves the solution uses of nutrien in concentration. Based on the results of a study that has been conducted, to gain growth and the results of white pakcoy plant are both hydroponic can usea concentration of AB Mix 1000 ppm.

Abstract

This research aimed to examine the effective interaction of tofu waste compost and NPK fertilizer to determine the best doses which give the growth and highest production of purple eggplant. The research was conducted at Experimental Farm, Faculty of Agriculture, Riau University, Pekanbaru. The research was conducted for 5 months, from February to June 2020. The research was experimentally arranged in a 3x3 factorial using a completely randomized design (CRD). The first factor was the tofu waste compost consisting of 3 levels (0, 10, and 20 tons.ha-1). The second factor was the NPK fertilizer (0, 100, and 150 kg.ha-1) which consists of nine treatments combination. The observed parameters were the height of the plant, the days of flowering, the days of harvesting, the fruit length, the fruit diameter, the number of fruits per plant, the fruit weight per fruit, the fruit weight per plant, and the fruit weight with the plot. The data in this research was analyzed using variance and followed by Duncan's multiple distance test at a 5% level. The results showed that tofu waste compost and NPK fertilizer increased the growth of eggplant such as the height of the plant, the days of flowering, the days of harvesting, the number of fruits per plant, the fruit length, the fruit weight per fruit, the fruit weight per plant and the fruit weight with plot and does not increase fruit diameter. The giving tofu waste compost at a dose of 20 tons.ha-1 and NPK fertilizer 150 kg.ha-1 gave the best eggplant growth and production until the plants were 90 DAP.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the combination of AB mix nutrition with POC tofu liquid waste on the growth and yield of lettuce plants and to get the combination of AB mix with POC tofu liquid waste for the best growth and yield of lettuce plants hydroponically. The study was conducted at the Experimental Farm Screening House of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau University, from September to October 2019. The study used randomized block design (RBD), consisting of a comparison of nutritional treatments, namely: 100% AB mix + 0% POC tofu liquid waste, 75% AB mix + 25% POC tofu liquid waste, 50% AB mix + 50% POC tofu liquid waste, 25% AB mix + 7% POC tofu liquid waste, 100% POC of tofu liquid waste + 0 % AB mix and consisted of 4 replications. The parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, leaf length, leaf width, root length, fresh weight, root volume, and weight suitable for consumption. Data Anova which showed a significant effect continued with multiple Range Tests at Duncan's 5% level. The results showed that the of nutrition treatment 100% AB mix, combination 50% AB mix + 50% POC tofu liquid waste, and 25% AB mix + 75% POC tofu liquid waste were found similar results, but higher results of giving a combination of 75% AB mix + 25% POC of tofu liquid waste in the leaf number parameter was 11.12 strands, fresh weight was 66.40 g and the proper weight was 58.31 g.
