Abstract

Madura is a small island whose people are famous for their very strong religiosity. Islamic values are maintained very well in almost all aspects of their lives, including in tourism. The purpose of this study is to find out how community involvement to help maintain adherence to Islamic values in Bukit Tinggi tourist destinations. Research methods use a qualitative approach. The data was obtained through interviews, and observations and analyzed with Miles and Huberman's Interactive Analysis Model. The results of this study showed that the public voluntarily participated in monitoring the behavior of tourists, reprimanding tourists if they did things that were not in accordance with Islamic teachings and processed them to the Village Chief if the actions of these tourists had exceeded the limit. This research concludes that involving the community in maintaining compliance with Shariah is very helpful for tourism managers to always keep these tourist destinations from unwanted things and violate religious rules. The results of this study contribute that manager can join hands with the community in the management of tourism including in maintaining the value of Islam in this tourist destination.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh realitas sosial yang memiliki asumsi bahwa pesantren hanyalah tempat untuk belajar pendidikan agama Islam dan minim akan peran yang lain. Pendidikan agama yang diajarkan sejatinya erat dengan moral dan nilai nilai kesopanan yang tidak hanya terekspresikan dari tingkah laku tetapi juga komunikasi verbal atau bahasa. Untuk mengungkap dan mendeskripsikan fokus penelitian tentang peran pesantren dalam melestarikan Bhesa AlosBhesa Madhureh dan metode yang dipergunakan pesantren dalam “menjaga” penggunaan bahasa kromo madura tersebut dilakukan pengamatan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif . Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa pesantren  (yang dalam hal ini hanya dibatasi pada pondok salaf) memiliki peranan yang luar biasa dalam melestarikan Bhesa AlosBhesa Madhureh. Peranan ini dapat dilihat dari “pewajiban” pondok pesantren terhadap penghuninya untuk berkomunikasi dengan menggunakanBhesa AlosBhesa Madhureh,bahkan untuk semakin menguatkan penguasaan santri atas Bhesa AlosBhesa Madhureh ini pondok pesantren menggunakan bahasa tersebut dalam proses belajar mengajarnya sehingga lulusan pondok pesantren salaf ini dapat dipastikan mampu berkomunikasi dengan Bhesa AlosBhesa Madhureh. Pesantren ini merupakan satu satunya lembaga yang punya komitmen kuat untuk melestarikan Bhesa AlosBhesa Madhureh Bhesa AlosBhesa Madhureh.

Abstract

This article aims to find out the accountability of zakat management done by the community leaders or Kiai who do not have documentation in funding and distribution. This study uses the case study approach, one of approaches in qualitative research, which uses interview and observation as the instruments of data collection. The result reveals that accountability, accounting, and functional perspectives have been fulfilled in the zakat management by Kiai. However, two of five characteristics of the accountability system perspective cannot be fulfilled by Kiai as âmil al-zakât, those are the written data presentation and the data publication.  In other words, internally what Kiai does in the zakat management is very accountable. This is because of his science integrity and spirituality. In terms of external accountability loaded with document and neat presentation of data, Kiai somehow cannot fulfill it. This is because the period of management of zakat al-fitr is very short (only a few hours) and the target of zakat distribution is real and known.

Abstract

Undang-Undang No, 33 Tahun 2014 tentang Jaminan Produk Halal adalah wujud efektifitas ketersediaan produk halal yang beredar di masyarakat, maka pemberlakuan pengajuan sertifikasi halal bersifat wajib bagi pelaku usaha. Industri halal menjadi trend halal lifestyle, salah satunya pada sektor pangan. Salah satu wilayah Madura yang memiliki kawasan yang strategis untuk dikunjungi adalah Kabupaten Bangkalan yang terletak di ujung barat Pulau Madura berbatasan langsung dengan pulau Jawa. Kultur keagamaan Islam yang kuat merupakan kekhasan tersendiri yang dimiliki masyarakat Madura. Banyak UMKM yang telah bersertifikasi halal, namun saat pengajuan halal bukan karena kesadaran atau keinginan diri sendiri yang mengharuskan halal, namun karena regulasi dari pemerintah yang mewajibkan semua produk bersertifikasi halal. Setelah diterbitkannya legalitas sertifikasi halal hal apa saja yang didapat oleh UMKM sektor pangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan melihat pemaknaan sertifikasi halal bagi Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah sektor pangan yang telah bersertifikasi halal di Kabupaten Bangkalan. Adapun metode penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan data primer melalui wawancara mendalam kepada responden (UMKM yang telah bersertifikasi halal) dan observasi, serta pengambilan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan studi fenomena ini diklasifikasikan menjadi dua mengenai  pemaknaan sertifikasi halal bagi UMKM yang telah bersertifikat halal di Kabupaten Bangkalan. Yaitu : Informan yang memaknai sertifikasi halal atas dasar kesadaran masing-masing individu yakni UMKM El Nikita, UMKM El Ruby dan UD Budi Jaya. Dan Informan yang memaknai sertifikasi halal atas dasar regulasi peraturan pemerintah yang mewajibkan mengajukan sertifikasi halal yaitu UMKM De Tallon dan UMKM Lamora. Sebagaimana hasil studi sertifikasi halal secara optimal mampu meningkatkan pendapatan pelaku UMKM secara tepat dan mewujudkan respon postif oleh konsumen terhadap produk  industri sektor pangan.

Abstract

Pesantren is the oldest religious education institution in Indonesia. The education system and method applied are the strengths to produce experts in the field. In recent years the pesantren has not only focused on the study of religious knowledge but also other fields so it is not surprising that public interest continues to increase and not a few people are increasingly curious about the pesantren. This then becomes one of the reasons why pesantren should be considered as a tourist destination. Therefore the study of the potential of pesantren that can be "sold" as a tourist spot becomes quite important to be held. This research is a qualitative study which is to obtain data from interviews with caregivers, religious teachers and students and with observations. This study concludes that in order to become a tourist destination, pesantren has fulfilled 3 (three) things, namely Attraction, Facilities and Amenities as a basic requirement of developing tourist destinations. The results of this study will provide input for related parties to formulate the pesantren tourism model that is owned. Keywords: Potency; Boarding School; Halal Tourism

Abstract

Despite the mandatory halal certification for Indonesian businesses, the anticipated benefits, such as increased product value or market share expansion, have not materialized for all enterprises. This study investigates the marketing challenges faced by halal-certified Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) in the Bangkalan Regency, Indonesia, focusing on the food sector. Employing a qualitative research design with a phenomenological interpretive approach, the study utilizes data collected through interviews and document analysis from 10 MSME informants. The findings reveal three primary factors hindering their marketing efforts. Firstly, the absence of a centralized platform or marketplace specifically for halal products restricts their reach and visibility. Secondly, the COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted consumer behavior and market dynamics, posing a common challenge for all MSMEs, including those in the halal food sector. Lastly, limited public awareness and understanding of halal certification results in reduced demand for halal products. These findings highlight the need for multi-pronged interventions to support halal-certified MSMEs. This includes establishing dedicated halal product marketplaces, providing pandemic relief measures tailored to MSMEs, and implementing awareness campaigns to educate the public about the significance of halal certification. This study offers valuable insights into the marketing challenges faced by halal-certified MSMEs in a specific Indonesian context. The proposed solutions can inform policy interventions and marketing strategies to empower halal-certified businesses and promote the halal food industry.==============================================================================================================ABSTRAK – Paradoks Halal: Strategi untuk Daya Tahan UMKM Makanan Indonesia. Meskipun sertifikasi halal menjadi kewajiban bagi pelaku usaha di Indonesia, manfaat yang diharapkan, seperti peningkatan nilai produk atau ekspansi pangsa pasar, belum dirasakan oleh semua perusahaan. Penelitian ini mengkaji tantangan pemasaran yang dihadapi oleh Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) yang telah tersertifikasi halal di Kabupaten Bangkalan, Indonesia, khususnya sektor makanan. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan analisis dokumen dari 10 informan UMKM dan dianalisis dengan pendekatan interpretatif fenomenologis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada tiga faktor utama yang menghambat upaya pemasaran mereka. Pertama, ketiadaan platform khusus yang dapat menampung dan memasarkan produk-produk halal. Kedua, efek negatif pandemi COVID-19 yang mengganggu perilaku konsumen dan dinamika pasar, termasuk yang berada di sektor makanan halal. Terakhir, rendahnya kesadaran masyarakat akan sertifikasi halal yang mempengaruhi permintaan akan produk halal. Hasil ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya kerjasama berbagai pihak dalam mendukung UMKM bersertifikasi halal, yang mencakup pembentukan pasar khusus produk halal, penyediaan bantuan pandemi yang terukur untuk UMKM, dan pelaksanaan diseminasi tentang sertifikasi halal untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya sertifikasi halal. Kajian ini memberikan input yang sangat berharga tentang tantangan pemasaran yang dihadapi oleh UMKM yang tersertifikasi halal dalam konteks Indonesia. Hal ini dapat digunakan untuk intervensi kebijakan dan strategi pemasaran bagi pemberdayaan usaha yang tersertifikasi halal sekaligus mempromosikan industri makanan halal.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a strategy for developing micro, small and medium enterprises at batik centers in Bangkalan from an Islamic economic perspective. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis used in this research uses the SWOT analysis technique (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats). The results of the research show that alternative strategies that can be used in developing Micro, Small and Medium Batik Enterprises in Tanjung Bumi District, Bangkalan Regency after the pandemic include using the market as a distribution place, promoting batik directly, utilizing social media and marketplaces to market batik, participating craftsmen in exhibitions to promote batik with the aim of increasing sales and expanding market share, government support in the form of developing human resource training for batik makers, establishing cooperation between batik entrepreneurs and suppliers of raw materials for making batik to obtain quality raw materials and anticipate increases in raw materials. This clearly has a big impact on the welfare of the general public and business actors and based on the perspective of Islamic Economics, working and trying to get better prosperity and happiness in this world and the hereafter is one of the commands recommended in Islam as long as it does not violate the rules of Islamic law, this is in accordance with the alternative strategy used by Micro, Small and Medium Batik Business actors in Tanjung Bumi District, Bangkalan Regency because they create business strategies that are in accordance with Islamic law so that it becomes a good thing for the existence and sustainability of Micro, Small and Medium Businesses to survive. and even increase sales and can create jobs that can help many people who are having difficulty finding work when the Covid-19 pandemic hits.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the level of religiosity and halal awareness of the people of Sumenep Regency in increasing halal certification literacy. Halal certification is an important aspect in product consumption for Muslims, however literacy regarding halal certification is still relatively lacking. The Madurese community, especially in Lenteng District, Sumenep Regency, is known to the public for their high level of religiosity and halal awareness, but it is not necessarily the case that with the high religiosity and halal awareness possessed by the people of Sumenep Regency, their halal certification literacy level is good. In reality, there are still many MSMEs that do not have halal certification for their products. For this reason, this research will discuss religiosity and halal awareness in increasing halal certification literacy in the community in Sumenep Regency. The research method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative research method, where the data search process is carried out through interview and documentation techniques. The data source was obtained directly through interviews with 10 respondents from the people of Lenteng District, Sumenep Regency. The results of this research show that the religiosity and awareness of the people of Lenteng District are quite good, but the people of the District in terms of halal certification literacy are at the Sufficient Literate level because most of them only know about halal certification through the halal logo but they still don't understand the process of making halal certification.
