Abstract

Pendidikan karakter ialah sebuah pendidikan yang bertujuan untuk menciptakan lingkungan pembelajaran yang mendukung terkait dengan berkembangnya moral anak yang terlibat dalam sebuah pendidikan. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini ialah kualitatif deskriptif dengan mengambil sumber data dari data primer dan sekunder. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan yakni wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Penilitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan agar dapat menganalisis tingkat ke efektivitasan serta mengidentifikasi metode yang diterapkan dalam melakukan program pendidikan karakter. Hasil dari penelitian ini yakni Pendidikan karakter harus dapat memperhatikan tahapan belajar yang terdapat pada ranah afektif. Tahapan belajar dalam ranah afektif ialah penerimaan, pemberian tanggapan, penghargaan, pengorganisasian serta internalisasi. Anak-anak umumnya mengidentifikasikan dirinya dengan orang tuanya bahkan orang-orang terdekat yang ada di lingkungannya. Maka dari itu peranan orang tua dan pendidik merupakan sebuah teladan yang sangat dekat dan mudah untuk ditiru anak. Dalam pendidikan karakter anak bisa dipengaruhi  dengan lingkungan bermainnya atau teman bermainnya. Sehingga pendidik dan orang tua harus bekerja sama dalam menerapkan pendidikan karakter dalam melakukan pembentukan moral anak.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas hubungan antara gaya parenting dengan perkembangan emosional anak usia dini sebagai respons terhadap meningkatnya variasi pola pengasuhan dalam keluarga modern. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi tipe pengasuhan yang paling mendukung perkembangan emosional optimal anak serta memberikan kontribusi praktis bagi pendampingan keluarga dan lembaga pendidikan. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode kualitatif pendekatan studi kasus dengan lima pasangan orang tua dan anak usia PAUD sebagai informan yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi terstruktur, dan studi dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model Miles & Huberman melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gaya parenting memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap perkembangan emosional anak. Pola asuh demokratis terbukti paling efektif karena mampu menyeimbangkan kedisiplinan, kehangatan, dan komunikasi dua arah, sehingga anak lebih mampu mengelola emosi, menunjukkan empati, dan memiliki regulasi emosi yang baik. Sebaliknya, pola otoriter dan permisif menunjukkan kecenderungan berdampak kurang positif terhadap perkembangan emosional anak. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya penerapan pola asuh demokratis dalam mendukung pembentukan kecerdasan emosional pada anak usia dini.

Abstract

This study aims to understand how social media influences the parenting styles of millennial parents in Indonesia, given the limited research specifically addressing this phenomenon. Using a qualitative method with an Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) approach, the study involved eight millennial parents selected through purposive sampling, characterized by their active use of platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, non-participant observation, digital documentation, and field notes, and were analyzed using IPA stages combined with the data reduction and display techniques of Miles & Huberman. The findings reveal four main themes: social media as a primary source of parenting knowledge; the construction of identity as modern parents; the implementation of parenting practices based on digital content; and emerging challenges such as anxiety, social comparison, and confusion due to the abundance of diverse information. Social media is shown to play an ambivalent role—both empowering and pressuring depending on parents’ digital literacy in filtering and interpreting information. This study is expected to contribute to the development of digital communication studies, parenting research, and family education policy, while encouraging a more critical, healthy, and contextual use of social media in parenting practices.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the dynamics of group counseling in developing adolescents’ social competence at SMA Negeri 1 Teluk Dalam. The research employed a qualitative approach using Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) to explore students’ subjective experiences in participating in group counseling sessions. Eight students were selected through purposive sampling based on their active involvement in at least six counseling sessions. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, non-participant observations, and documentation of the school counseling program. The analysis involved thematic coding, identification of meaning patterns, and interpretative examination of participants’ lived experiences. The findings indicate that group counseling dynamics significantly contribute to the enhancement of interpersonal communication skills, empathy and social sensitivity, self-confidence, and conflict management abilities. Supportive and reflective group interactions enable students to learn through direct experience and peer feedback. Group counseling also functions as a safe social learning environment that fosters emotional regulation and mature social perspective-taking. This study highlights the importance of integrating sustainable group counseling services into school guidance programs as both preventive and developmental strategies to strengthen adolescents’ social competence and character formation.

Abstract

This study was conducted to analyze the influence of bullying behavior on students’ mental health conditions and to understand its implications for the implementation of guidance and counseling services within the school environment. The research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive analytical method. This study involved students who experienced bullying, counseling teachers, homeroom teachers, and parents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, then analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research findings indicate that the most common forms of bullying experienced by students include verbal, social, physical, and cyberbullying. The impacts experienced by students included anxiety, fear, low self-esteem, social withdrawal, and psychosomatic disorders such as sleep difficulties and loss of learning motivation. Bullying also affected students’ academic motivation and achievement. Guidance and counseling services help students recover mentally through counseling and emotional support.

Abstract

This Community Service Program aims to improve students’ English skills and learning motivation through Interactive English Education and Learning Motivation Counseling in Orahili Gito Village, Fanayama District, South Nias Regency. The study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive field research design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving 20 students from elementary and junior high school as the main participants. The learning materials included basic English topics such as greetings, self-introduction, numbers, colors, daily activities, and simple vocabulary, delivered through educational games and speaking practice. In addition, motivation counseling sessions were conducted to enhance students’ confidence and reduce learning anxiety. The results show an improvement in students’ participation, speaking courage, and learning motivation. The program effectively created a more interactive, enjoyable, and supportive learning environment, contributing to the development of students’ English proficiency and motivation in rural areas.
