Abstract

The human body regulates its temperature to normal levels when exposed to cold temperatures, which allows it to adjust to changes in its surroundings. The force of blood that the heart pumps against the artery walls is called blood pressure. Variations in fishermen's blood pressure may be affected by the cold working environment. The purpose of this study was to determine the comparison of blood pressure before and after exposure to air temperature in fishermen workers. With a single group pretest-posttest quantitative research methodology, this study used an experimental pre-research design. Univariate data analysis, bivariate using the Wilcoson test and multivariate using MANOVA testing. The study population was 57 fishermen of Tanjung Tiram District. By using the basic random selection approach, the research sample amounted to 50 respondents. Data collection using primary data obtained directly from fishermen workers on the Tanjung Tiram coast using digital tension meters and observation sheets. The analytical tool used is SPSS. The results showed that there was a comparison of blood pressure before and after exposure to air temperature, meaning that exposure to air temperature can increase blood pressure both systole and diastole, so maintaining health is needed for workers who work as fishermen.

Abstract

Rewards are given to encourage someone to act more actively to increase or improve their performance. Rewards are the most important management tool to achieve the desired goals of a business. The International Labor Organization Statistics (ILOSTAT) releases data on labor productivity in Indonesia with growth rates, namely in 2014 (3.31%), 2015 (4.10%), 2016 (3.71%), 2017 (1, 97%), in 2018 (3.05%), and in 2019 (93.68%). From this data, progress in labor productivity in Indonesia tends to be low in percentage and fluctuates every year. In Takoma itself, the performance of workers is hampered by weather and seasonal factors. Therefore, workers are not productive at work. The success of a business is closely related to the quality of the human resources it has, because human resources have an important role as actors, movers and determinants of organizational work results based on the company's operational activities, both in quality and quantity. In this case, social disparities often occur within the organization which results in a lack of effectiveness in the performance of workers. Basically, companies expect capable human resources, but the most important thing is the desire to work hard and achieve optimal work results. On the island of Sumatra, one of the honeys that can be found is honey in Takoma, which is located in Pamatang Sidamanik District, Simalungun Regency, North Sumatra Province. The Pamatang Sidamanik area is the best place to produce tea, coffee and honey. Takoma is an abbreviation of Taro, Coffee, Honey which is made in Sait Buttu Saribu Village. The aim of this research is to determine the role of rewards in increasing the productivity of honey workers in Sait Buttu Saribu Village. This research uses a quantitative methodology with a cross sectional design. The population in this study were honey workers in Sait Buttu Saribu Village, totaling 16 respondents. From the total population obtained, the sample that the researcher took was the total of that population, because the researcher used a total sampling technique. Primary data collected directly by researchers through questionnaires from previous research. The results of the bivariate statistical test using Chi Square show that the average p-value is 0.000 (<0.05), meaning that there is a significant relationship between the reward variable and the worker productivity variable. It is hoped that business owners will pay attention and provide more rewards to increase worker productivity.

Abstract

Implementation of K3 standards is very important in every agency, especially at the lowest level of health facilities, namely community health centers. In accordance with Minister of Health Regulation No. 52 of 2018 concerning Occupational Safety and Health in Health Facilities, it is stated that every Health Fasyan is obliged to implement occupational safety and health efforts. The implementation of health center K3 is expected to reduce the number of accidents for workers. So that the safety and health of staff is guaranteed, services can be improved for patients at the health center. The Community Health Center Occupational Health and Safety Guidelines cover various aspects such as Occupational Health and Safety policies, risk management, planning, controlling and implementing K3. The implementation of K3 in community health centers is very influential in improving the quality of community health centers. Therefore, employees or people who work there must implement an K3 program. This research involved community health center officers in Pamatang Sidamanik, Simalungun Regency, North Sumatra Province. This research aims to find out how the Pamatang Sidamanik Community Health Center implements K3 standards. This research uses a quantitative methodology with a cross sectional design. The population in this study were community health center officers in Pamatang Sidamanik, totaling 40 respondents. From the total population obtained, the sample that the researcher took was the total of that population, because the researcher used a total sampling technique. Primary data collected directly by researchers through questionnaires from previous research. The Ministry of Health Regulatory Indicator is a questionnaire used by researchers. The results of the bivariate statistical test using Chi Square show that the average p-value is 0.000 (<0.05), so that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, this means that the implementation of K3 standards at the Pamatang Sidamanik health center is running optimally. The implementation of the K3 program in community health centers greatly influences both the quality and accreditation of community health centers. Researchers hope that the agencies studied will continue to evaluate the implementation of K3 and continue to run optimally. Suggestions for every health facility, especially the Pamatang Sidamanik health center, to increase the implementation of Occupational Safety and Health.

Data was collected from 46 respondents consisting of doctors, nurses, midwives, analysts, nutritionists, and public health workers. This study used a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional research design. The sample consisted of 46 health workers at the Sei Balai Health Center. Data was collected through questionnaires that measured workload levels and burnout. Statistical analysis was performed using the Chi-Square test and Fisher's exact test. The results showed that heavy workload was positively correlated with high work fatigue. This shows the importance of effective workload management to reduce the risk of burnout among health workers. The implications of this research can be used to devise better workload management strategies at Puskesmas Sei Balai and encourage further research in this domain. Based on the results of the study obtained p (p-value) = 0.00 (p < 0.05) that there is a relationship between workload and work fatigue of health workers at the Sei Balai Health Center, Coal Regency.

Abstract

Work-related stress and depression accounted for 44% of all work-related health prob-lems and 56% of absenteeism from the office due to illness. Some cleaning service re-spondents said that having a lot of work, feeling exhausted, feeling dizzy, personal prob-lems brought to work, and being offended by what colleagues said, allowing them to ex-perience work stress. The purpose of the study was to determine the factors that affect work stress in cleaning service workers at RSUP H. Adam Malik Medan. This study used a cross-sectional design, with the subjects of 115 workers and selected using the starfield random sampling method. The analysis used is the pearson rank correlation test and the one way test. The results showed that there was an influence of age on work stress with a very weak level of influence not unidirectional (p = 0.007, r = -0.248), no influence of sex on work stress (p = 0.037), there was an influence of working period on work stress with a weak level of unidirectional influence (p = 0.015, r = -0.227), no shift influenceWork against work stress (p = 0.273). There is an effect of workload on work stress with very strong and unidirectional influences (p = 0.000, r = 0.951). The conclusion of the research results, factors that affect work stress are age, length of work, and workload, while fac-tors that do not comply with work stress are gender and work shifts.
