Abstract

The Yogyakarta Social Protection and Rehabilitation Center for Youth (BPSRR) is a place for safeguarding children in conflict with the law. Children who violate the law must undergo a rehabilitation process. However, before carrying out rehabilitation, some functions must be passed, especially the court process determining how long the child will be in repair. This article examines the process of assisting children in conflict with the law. The type of research used by researchers is qualitative research, with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques in this study were observation and interviews with two social workers, two social workers, and two children dealing with the law and documentation. Using interactive analysis and the triangulation method, it can be seen that the guidance process in assisting children in conflict with the law when carrying out a trial has five stages: the assessment is the initial data stage from children in conflict with the law. Then the second stage is an adaptation in the hostel for children in conflict with the law related to their mental condition. The third stage of the trial guidance process is the direction given by social workers to children in conflict with the law in the trial process that will be carried out. Usually, children are worried because they are unaware of the trial process. Stage four is the individual handling process. In this process, the child experiencing downtime is concerned about personal handling. The fifth stage of group counseling helps children in conflict with the law share experiences with the trial process that is being carried out so that ABH feels better prepared to face the trial.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of social workers as enablers in restoring the social functioning of beneficiaries through vocational guidance. The research method used is qualitative research with a case study approach which is a method used to describe more complete information, so that the resulting understanding of a case is studied more deeply. This study used a purposive sampling technique to determine the subject, namely two social workers. Data collection techniques were carried out by interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the study show that the role of social workers is as an enabler in restoring beneficiary social functioning through vocational guidance, namely at the production stage where social workers facilitate education and provide group work techniques for beneficiary social interaction needs. Then, in the post-production stage, social workers play a role in maintaining relations with stakeholders, creating social shop innovations, involving beneficiaries in vocational activities outside the institution as a means of selling their work and to familiarize them with adapting to the wider community environment. As well as, distributing work to beneficiaries who are able to be employed.

Abstract

Pelabelan negatif merupakan salah satu stigma sosial yang terbentuk dari penilaian masyarakat terhadap inividu maupun kelompok yang dianggap telah menyimpang dari nilai dan norma yang berlaku dalam masyarakat seperti halnya para Wanita Tuna Susila (WTS). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana dampak pelabelan negatif pada wanita tuna susila yang sedang menjalani rehabilitasi di Panti Pelayanan Sosial Wanita (PPSW) Wanodyatama Surakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Adapun subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 3 wanita tuna susila (penerima manfaat) yang sedang menjalani rehabilitasi di Panti Pelayanan Sosial Wanita (PPSW) Wanodyatama Surakarta. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pelabelan negatif selain dapat menyebabkan diskriminasi, sulit mencari pekerjaan juga dapat mempengaruhi kesejahteraan psikologis terutama dalam pembentukan konsep diri pada wanita tuna susila.

Abstract

This study aims to describe how the implementation of career development in improving career planning in children with special needs. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach to describe a case completely and thoroughly in order to obtain more detailed and in-depth information. The selection of subjects in this study used purposive sampling techniques, namely two vocational teachers, one teacher member of the Special Job Fair. Data collection techniques with interviews, observation, and documentation. The findings of the study showed that career development services provided include orientation services, information services, and placement services. The delivery methods used are lectures, demonstrations, assignments, and training. Then the career planning aspect is shown through career understanding, finding information, as well as planning and decision making. While factors that influence career planning include environmental conditions and family support, learning experiences, and task coping skills.

Abstract

Finding out how accepting domestic abuse victims are of themselves is the goal of this study conducted at the SPEK-HAM Surakarta Foundation. This study takes a phenomenological perspective while using a qualitative research methodology. The research subjects were two people with the following criteria: 1) Domestic violence victims aged 40-45 years, 2) Domestic violence victims who had been divorced for 5-10 years, 3) Domestic violence victims who had participated and received assistance at the Surakarta SPEK-HAM Foundation. Documentation, semi-structured interviews, and observation are the methods used to acquire research data. According to the study's findings, both participants exhibited high levels of self-acceptance. Both participants recovered with positive development and a healthy sense of self-acceptance, despite the fact that they underwent a very drawn-out procedure.
