Abstract

One of the sociological ideas expressed in the novel Laskar Pelangi is that there is a hidden potential in poor communities in Indonesia that needs to be raised by providing opportunities (especially education) and enough motivation and inspiration to be at the same level with Western society. This study examines the unity of the mind with elements of novel Laskar Pelangi. The approach used is the sociology of literature combined with structuralism. The three structural elements of a literary work are chosen as the focus for this research, which is the plot, the characteristic of Latitude, and the characterization of Ikal. This idea reinforces the story through unity with the plot and characterization of Ikal, and the Latitude of the Strengthening Ikal is able to express the author's sociological idea which views the importance of an opportunity and strong motivation and inspiration to uplift one's dignity.

Abstract

This research type is descriptive research by using approach of sociology of literature. The object of this research is the values ​​of character education in this novel. The data in this study are words, sentences, and discourses contained in this novel. The source of data in this novel. Data collection is done by reading and writing techniques. This study aims to explain the values ​​of education contained in this novel.. The results obtained in this study are 13 points, namely: (1) religious values, (2) honest values, (3) discipline value, (4) hard work value, (5) creative value, (6) independent value, (7) ) the value of curiosity, (8) the value of appreciation, (9) friendly and communicative value, (10) the value of peace love, (11) the value of reading, (12) the value of social care, (13) the value of responsibility.

Abstract

Regional literature is a literature that lives and thrives in society and becomes a reflection of its people. Regional literature contains a philosophical life full of advice that contains a good moral message that can be a valuable learning for anyone. Unfortunately, there is a shift in value so that regional literature tends to be forgotten. The problem discussed in this research is how structural analysis of Levi-Strauss and what moral values ​​are contained in the story? Therefore, this study aims to analyze the folklore structurally to capture the learning of moral values ​​contained in LKSG. The method used is deskpitive. The approach used is the structural approach Levi-Strauss gives special attention to the myth. Discussion is divided into several episodes of the story to facilitate analysis. The results show that great powers are sometimes only myths that can be defeated with strong adhesions, confidence and use of common sense.

Abstract

Puisi menjadi salah satu medium yang efektif bagi penyair untuk lmengungkapkan pengalaman, gagasan, perasaan dan tanggapannya terhadap lingkungan sekitar. Lewat puisi “Terkenang Topeng Cirebon” (TTC), Ajip Rosidi selaku penyair menuangkan pengalaman dan tanggapannya terhadap budaya asing dibandingkan dengan budaya sendiri. Permasalahan yang dibahas dalampenelitian ini adalah bagaimana unsur-unsur struktur kebahasaan puisi “TTC” dan kandungan makna yang terlihat pada karya yang menjadi objek penelitian ini. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis unsur-unsur struktur kebahasaan dalam puisi dan mengungkap makna yang terdapat dalam puisi “TTC” dengan tinjauan strukturalisme semiotik. Unsur-unsurstruktur kebahasaan yang dimaksud adalah orkestrasi bunyi, kiasan bunyi, sajak (rima), kosa kata, faktor ketatabahasaan, bahasa kiasan, sarana retorika, dan citraan. Tahap pembacaan heuristik dan hermeneutik dipergunakan untuk memudahkan pemahaman. Metode yang dipergunakan adalah deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya kaitan yang erat antarunsur struktur kebahasaan yang memperkuat gagasan makna kecintaan pada tanah air dan kebanggaan pada budaya sendiri.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (1) wujud konflik batin pada tokoh utama dalam novel Nyonya Jetset karya Endah Alberthiene; (2) faktor yang menyebabkan konflik batin tokoh utamanya; dan (3) penyelesaian konflik batin tokoh utama. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan teori psikologi sastra Sigmund Freud yang meliputi id, ego, dan superego. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hal sebagai berikut.(1) bentuk konflik batin tokoh utama meliputi harapan tidak sesuai dengan kenyataan; kebimbangan dalam menghadapi permasalahan, dan tidak berani mengambil tindakan; (2) faktor yang menyebabkan konflik batin yaitu faktor internal dan eksternal; (3) bentuk penyelesaian konflik batin terdiri dari proyeksi dan pengalihan (diplacement).

Abstract

Kirana Kejora lahir pada tanggal 2 Februari 1972 di Ngawi, Jawa Timur. Ia adalah penulis Indonesia yang terpilih sebagai salah satu Tokoh Inspiratif Sidoarjo 2013. Karya- karyanya berupa artikel, cerpen, dan puisi dimuat di berbagai media cetak. Ia juga produktif menulis novel dan script film, baik layar lebar maupun film televisi. Sebelum memutuskan sebagai penulis penuh waktu, Kirana adalah peneliti Sosial Ekonomi Perikanan Unibraw (1991-1993), Staff pengajar pada SMK Dipasena Citra Darmaja, Lampung (1996-2000), Staf Ahli Sosial Ekonomi proyek Management Monitoring Cosultant JBIC-DPK di Sulawesi Tenggara (2000-2001) Staff pengajar pada Universitas Hang Tuah Surabay (2003-2004), dan wartawati tabloid Infotainment Fenomena (2003-2004). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian perpustakaan dengan menggunakan metode dinamika kepribadian tokoh atau teori psikoanalisis. Peneliti mengkaji kepribadian dari tokoh-tokoh untuk menentukan id, ego dan super ego. setelah itu peneliti akan mengelompokkan kepribadian dari tokoh Langit id, ego dan super ego berdasarkan kutipan yang ada di dalam novel.

Abstract

The media utilized in the teaching and learning process should adapt to the circumstances and settings, as well as be compatible with the abilities of the students. The media industry has a common need for creative men and women who can effectively communicate information and ideas via words and visuals. This study was aimed to found out: whether or not there were an influence of interaction among picture series, motivation and gender toward speaking achievement. Method of this research used quantitative with factorial 2x2x2 design approach. There were 60 students as sample, 30 students for experimental group and 30 students for control group. The sample was taken by using purposive sampling., the data were collected by using speaking test and questionnaires. To verify the hypotheses, the data were analyzed by using three-way ANAVA. Based on the data analysis, the result of three-way ANAVA showed that the interaction between: 1) the experiment and control classes obtained significant values = 0.001 < 0.05, the first hypothesis was acceptable, 2) the male and female genders obtained significant values = 0.367 > 0.05, the second hypothesis cannot be accepted, 3) high and low motivation obtained significant value = 0.085 > 0.05, the third hypothesis is unacceptable, 4) class and gender obtained significant value = 0.820 > 0.05, the fourth hypothesis is not acceptable, 5) class and motivation obtained Significant value = 0.669 > 0.05, then the fifth hypothesis is unacceptable, 6) Gender and motivation obtained Significant value = 0.015 < 0.05, then the sixth hypothesis is acceptable, and 7) the interaction among class, gender and motivation was obtained Significant value = 0.380 > 0.05, the seventh hypothesis was unacceptable. Thus, it could be concluded that there was no interaction between class, gender and motivation for speaking achievement scores.

Abstract

One of the issues that is capturing the world's attention today is environmental issues. Ancient societies had a concern for the environment. Environmental education efforts can be implemented in the School Literacy Movement. To that end, this research will answer the following research questions: 2). How is the natural element in the oral literature of society? 3) How are the efforts to revitalize oral literature and the literacy movement in schools? This study used PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review) for the search strategy and the systematic review approach on the selected articles. Relevant literature searches were conducted throughout the Garuda portal. Research results have shown that oral literature plays an important role in society. The important position is because oral literature comes with a variety of functions, namely: (1) As a religious means of a string of prayers and hope to God; (2) As a means of recreation after a long day's work; (3) As a means of education to convey messages of goodness from parents to their children; (4) As a remedy, they mixed spells with plants and other objects; (5) As a means of stimulating the economy in the fields of agriculture, plantations, and the sea; (6). A medium of criticism and advice in the social field of society. Attempts at revitalization have been made in several ways. Among them, collecting old literature in the form of encyclopedia books, anthologies, and textbooks. In addition, it is necessary to make efforts to make oral literature more enjoyable for the younger generation.
