Abstract

The Shari'a Regional Regulation legitimizes the implementation of Islamic cultural values and Minangkabau culture in West Sumatra. Knowledge of the reality of regional regulation practice is important for harmonizing social and state life in a pluralistic society. This research aims to explain the relationship between the emergence of the Sharia Regional Regulation in West Sumatra and its implementation in city districts in West Sumatra. This research used historical methods, namely heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The final results of the research reveal the positive phenomenon of the implementation of Shari'a regulations in West Sumatra. The appearance of school children they dressed as Muslim. Before studying, students were accustomed to praying and memorizing several verses in the Al-Qur'an, attending a Ramadhan Islamic boarding school during the holy month of Ramadhan, and participating in Youth Wirid activities after Ramadhan. State Civil Servants (ASN) wore Muslim clothing during official hours. In certain areas, being able to read the Al-Qur’an was a condition for getting married. Regional regulations with Islamic nuances also showed the political content of the figures, social organizations and parties, legislative members (DPRD), and power politics. This study contributes to the importance of awareness and tolerance in social practices between religious communities in various community organizations and government agencies.

Abstract

The article aims to explore the governance, social, and economic dynamics resulting from the division into Nagari Lubuk Gadang Barat Daya and Nagari Lubuk Gadang Barat. The research scope spans from 2007 when Nagari Lubuk Gadang was formed until 2021 when it was divided. The study employs a historical research method comprising topic selection, source collection, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. Nagari Lubuk Gadang Selatan, located in Sangir Subdistrict, South Solok Regency, West Sumatra Province, comprises 15 jorongs. It was established in 2007 to meet the community's demands for independent fund management. Due to population growth and the increasing number of jorongs, Nagari Lubuk Gadang Selatan was divided into two new nagaris from 2017 onwards. The expansion aims to ensure equitable development and access to village funds for the community's prosperity.

Abstract

Tulisan ini membicarakan perubahan dalam dunia militer di Sumatera Tengah pada masa perang mempertahankan kemerdekaan Indonesia. TKR yang dibentuk pada tanggal 5 Oktober 1945 memiliki dua komandemen, yaitu Komandemen Jawa dan Komandemen Sumatera. Komandemen Sumatera terdiri atas enam divisi, salah satu di antaranya adalah Divisi III/Banteng di Sumatera Tengah, meliputi wilayah Sumatera Barat dan Riau. Sejak awal tahun 1948 Divisi III diubah menjadi Divisi IX/Banteng TNI, dipimpin oleh seorang panglima (Kolonel Ismael Lengah), dan memiliki 22 batalyon sebagai pasukan tempur. Divisi IX/Banteng berhasil melindungi eksistensi PDRI yang bermarkas di Sumatera Barat, sehingga Belanda tidak berhasil melenyapkan RI melalui Agresi Militer II. Setelah munculnya indikasi Belanda mengakui kedaulatan RI, maka pemerintah RI merasa perlu melakukan penciutan terhadap angkatan perang melalui Program Reorganisasi dan Rasionalisasi. Dalam konteks itulah Divisi IX/Banteng yang punya panglima sendiri, diturunkan statusnya menjadi sebuah brigade di bawah komando Medan. Jumlah batalyon dikurangi secara drastis dari 22 menjadi 4 batalyon sehingga ribuan prajurit terpaksa diberhentikan.
